We stayed in one of the two bedroom apartments 'Colibri' which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed a few themes over our stay, we also enjoyed the Creole evening.The pool area was immaculate. We had a great welcome from the owners who spoke excellent English and they allow guests to continue to use the pool area and a bathroom if they are catching a late flight which is always really helpful. I highly recommend and hope to return in the future.

Este establecimiento se encuentra en Cabarete, en la provincia de Puerto Plata, a 300 metros de la playa Encuentro. Todo fue excelente. La piscina es excelente, que uno creeria no la vas a usar porque estas a pasitos de las mejores playas, que sea 24hs hace que cuando volves de la playa, te quedes un rato mas disfrutando y aprovechando los espacios que tienen hermosamente armados. El desayuno es muy completo y variado, podes elegir tu plato principal de su menú. Probamos el dominicano, la fruta con granola, los panqueques y la tostada, todo era abundante y muy rico. El staff tiene una energia y una vibra que desde el momento que llegaste al lugar hacen que te relajes, todos con buen humor, sonriendo y con disposicion para ayudar y resolver. El studio doble contaba con aire acondicionado y tambien ventilador. Tenes un living privado para propio uso fuera de tu habitacion.

Clave Verde Ecolodge está en Las Terrenas y cuenta con vistas a la montaña, centro de fitness, jardín, terraza, restaurante y bar. El lodge ofrece wifi y parking privado, ambos gratis. I loved the peaceful location- down an unpaved track , elevated location with far reaching views. The hosts and their team of staff are just very lovely people- there is a sort of old school home away from home feel to the place. The food is just great in that there are plenty of really healthy options- fresh ingredients and home cooked items. They arranged for me to hike with a neighbour- a french lady who has 10 years experience of all the local tracks- on horseback and on foot...it was fabulous. It was great to have hot water and quality towels and bed linen. I really felt very comfortable here as a solo traveller.

I have been to over 90 countries and have stayed in countless hotels of all kinds. The Mondi Lodge is amongst the most memorable, special places I have ever had the pleasure to stay in, and I can't recommend it highly enough in every way. The people who own and run it are fantastic, the grounds are full of beautiful plants and animals, it has a cool pool area with a kitchen and a trust fridge full of drinks, you can drink the tap water, the breakfast is really tasty, with a different special every morning, its close to town, but beautifully quiet so you can hear birdsong not diesel engines, and all the rooms are wee separate houses, so no noise from other guests either. I chose the tree house room...the clue is in the name....and yes, its a 2 storey wooden house built round a banyan tree, with an outdoor shower, really comfortable big bed, and just the coolest terrace upstairs, with a fridge and kitchen area, where I actually spent so much time swinging in a hammock, I could hardly be bothered going out to see any of Curaçao's beaches. It is really, really special.
