Situato a Cabarete, nella provincia di Puerto Plata, a 300 m dalla spiaggia di Encuentro. Hotel veramente fantastico a 300 metri dalla tranquilla playa el Encuentro. Piscina stupenda aperta anche di notte. Il ristorante è eccezionale e neanche troppo caro, lo staff è fantastico. La camera/studio è enorme, con cucina, un grande divano e letto king size. Un luogo tranquillo dove soggiornare, soprattutto se si è interessati a praticare sport acquatici.

We enjoyed our morning conversations with Jonathan and greatly appreciated Noemi's recommendations for places to go and her arranging our trip to El Limon waterfall. We decided to have our last dinner at Clave Verde's restaurant, and we regretted not doing that every night; the food was exquisite and made with a lot of love; thank you, Sandra, and everyone in the kitchen. Clave Verde is a short drive to most beaches around. It's a great location if you want to enjoy the day trips yet retreat away from the hustle and bustle in the evening. Please note when you arrive, it is a steep drive up the hill; it helps to have the shift on the 1st gear.

I have been to over 90 countries and have stayed in countless hotels of all kinds. The Mondi Lodge is amongst the most memorable, special places I have ever had the pleasure to stay in, and I can't recommend it highly enough in every way. The people who own and run it are fantastic, the grounds are full of beautiful plants and animals, it has a cool pool area with a kitchen and a trust fridge full of drinks, you can drink the tap water, the breakfast is really tasty, with a different special every morning, its close to town, but beautifully quiet so you can hear birdsong not diesel engines, and all the rooms are wee separate houses, so no noise from other guests either. I chose the tree house room...the clue is in the name....and yes, its a 2 storey wooden house built round a banyan tree, with an outdoor shower, really comfortable big bed, and just the coolest terrace upstairs, with a fridge and kitchen area, where I actually spent so much time swinging in a hammock, I could hardly be bothered going out to see any of Curaçao's beaches. It is really, really special.
