I loved the location, the cleanliness, and the decorations. I didn't like that it was so cold inside the house. There was only heat in one room. We also did not have cleaning or cooking supplies. No kitchen towels, no salt or pepper, nothing to wash the dishes. The towels provided were not of sufficient size for a shower. I loved that the host was very accommodating and called us back every time we needed something.

This is a tiny town in the mountains, and it's located on the bank of Ohrid Lake. It's clean (as for Albania), calm and friendly. It has bars (I recommend Sherlock), fish markets with fresh fish (you should try Koran here, it's an Ohrid salmon) and the clearest lake (ohhhh, lake water is very clean and transparent). Visit Taverna Ladi if you want to try a hood fish for a reasonable price. The town is highly safe, so you can walk in the streets any time of day and night. It's a perfect place for families w/wo kids, who love to observe great views, drink good wine and feel life in a calm manner. Relax on the beach of Ohrid lake. You'll never forget its crystal-clean and transparent water. The beach is sandy, and it is equipped with umbrellas and deckchairs. I really recommend visiting this town. From here you can also go to town Ohrid (in Macedonia) or to the town Korca (it's a well-known Albanian town). From Pogradec you can get to Tirana by bus. To Macedonia you can get only by rental car or taxi. Visit Pogradec and enjoy your stay here.SvetlanaUkraine - 10Scored 10

Pogradec is a very nice and quiet town on the southeast part of Albania. It is near the Ohrid lake and it is well known in Albania for the lake fish which is found only in this area. Nice people, nice environment.
Nice people, nice environment. Everything within walking distance. Attractions for children, rental offices, good restaurants and cafes. The sandy beaches are equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas for a small fee. Unfortunately, there was a mess in the water on the beaches, which no one tried to clean up.

I like this city with nice aranged walking areas by the lake, extra long beach, market's, shops and restaurants, kids park's, offers for boat trips... Amazing place for families, couples, kids, older people, young people... for everyone and the most important thing is that Pogradec is excellent in every season, not just in Summer. Super sweet and caring hostess Zhaneta. Everything is thought of for a longer stay. Kitchen equipment from toaster to kettle and everything you might need is available. Comfortable bed, couch and two nice balcony’s. 5min walk to the lake and very nice boulevard. Center is 15min walk. We could easily park our van at the property and our two dogs were welcome. We would come back if in Pogradec.

They filled our pockets and bags with fresh fruit from the farm, showed us the bunnies and chickens, ate persimmon fresh from the tree, there was delight homemade wine, grapes and plums on arrival. The ducks Quaked, the floors are heated, there are blackout curtains and a perfectly quiet stay. There is also a 3 min walk down the driveway straight to a soft sandy beach into Lake Ohrid. Breakfast was DELICIOUS!!!!!

I also ate one night of my two in the hotel restaurant. I had chicken fillet with mushroom cream sauce and a village salad. Delicious and satisfying. I would recommend this place. We loved our stay here and wished we could have stayed more than one night.
