Absolutely everything! I would visit it again.
Clean and maintenanced SPA, friendly stuff, cheap and delicious food in the restaurant(dinner), reach and fresh breakfast.
The quality was more than I expected.

It is an excellent place to stay for a getaway or to visit the nearby Thracian tomb. The only problem we had with the property was that the internet was very poor. We could not even hook up with our laptop.

The room was very clean and spacious - a relaxing place to be, with a tremendous view over beautiful countryside. The food (buffet dinner and breakfast) was excellent. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. The indoor hot spa pool was excellent.

It was our first stay at Trakiya Residence Starosel we were left pleasantly surprised. What I liked the most was the spacious and clean room with a nice terrace, overlooking the hills. The idea of an HB-stay was also a good one, providing a variety of meals for breakfast and dinner. The SPA is also well-organized, facilities are well-maintained, and the available wine procedures are a must. If you like classical or sports massage, make sure you book an appointment with Iliya – an experienced chiropractor I can recommend.
Overall, the place is fantastic for a family stay with kids, as we saw lots of parents with babies and bigger children. If you are a new couple looking for a private experience, you'd probably book something in the older part of the complex, avoiding the Residence, as it could be more crowded for you.

A great winery to weekend trip experience.
A great winery to weekend trip experience. Nice spa with wine-focused procedures, breakfast buffet was great, staff is nice. The wine tour in the ancient tasting room was very good, the lady guide though was a bit too informal with both the group and the topic.

If you decide to go there prepare a bag of patience cause you have to wait for everything. You have to pay additional 20 lv to use all the facilities of the SPA (it says it's included in the package but the information is misleading). If you order a sandwich it comes after an hour just bear in mind that things happen very slow.... Bad management, bad service! The facilities are good and the food is nice.

Friendly and helpful staff.
Friendly and helpful staff. The room was with beautiful interior design in the authentic Bulgarian style, specious and very clean. The mineral water in the complex is precious with numerous healing properties. The spa procedures I used were all with natural products. I strongly recommend the sport massage done by professional physiotherapist. Would love to go there again, and again...
Room was comfortable and food selection and quality very good in the buffet restaurant. The a la carte restaurant was also very good, with large selection of food and wines available. For a large hotel it did not feel crowded in the main buildings or grounds but the Swimming pool on Sunday was very busy and only a few spaces available to sit. During the week days it was much less crowded and plenty of spaces available. Spa facilities were as expected and the massage was good.
we stayed in the Thracian residence part of the complex - the spa there was interesting and sophisticated, but really way to big to be relaxing. the spa at the old part of the hotel was excellent. The food was good. The kids enjoyed the children's play area and the guided nature walk,. the surroundings were beautiful and the complex is obviously in harmony with the local community which was nice to see. The hotel is very new and very clean. the staff were incredibly nice.
we stayed start of May, outside +20, so the heated outdoors pool with +36 was super niiicee
Dinner included (as breakfast), and I did not have big hopes for it, but everything was delicious!
Rooms we picked had fireplace and jacuzzi in the balcony with lovely view, bit pricey, but worth it!
This room did have toiletries.
Wine tasting was fun activity.
Will be back for sure, one of the best hotels I've been to in BG
The Villa was perfect for our group of 10. We relaxed in the spacious living room and walked to Starosel winery for a wine tasting and tour. It was only a couple mins drive up the hill to get tot he spa center if walking isn't your preference. The hosts were very helpful and made our stay great. We were able to use the grill and the large dining room talbe was a perfect fit for all 10 of us.
The Wine and spa complex Starosel is amazing place. Everything is made with precise attention to details. The atmosphere is very cozy. The SPA is one of the best spa that I have visited in my life. The wine and the food are sooo delicious. The bed is a king size bed, very clean everywhere. Really a place to relax and to feel gorgeous. I highly recommend this complex.
I have been to Starosel many times and the facilities and people have always been excellent. What is particularly good: the food, even though the hotel was full, there was always enough and high quality food. The Spa was also great, despite the hotel was full of children because of their vacation (and parents of course). Staff was useful and fast.
The hotel overall is very nice - so one can enjoy their stay at nature and have some quality time. We enjoyed the spa centre pretty much, as they have an open pool and separately an indoor one. Our room was pretty spacious, with a queen bed and ambient lighting. A/C was working fine and the TV was fairly big.
We really enjoyed the "spa" overall. The new pool in the hotel was a nice surprise, with lots of options for the kids. The breakfast offers many options for everyone in our party. Thank you to one waiter in the restaurant for translating the menu for my English-speaking friends.
The Residence is still new and cozy but the maintenance is not up to the highest standards. As a wine hotel I would put a bottle of wine for the guest taking in account the price of the stay . There is no complimentary water in the room.
There is much to do in the hotel vicinity, You have a spa, a great swimming pool, a zoo, a babysitting place, and lovely paved inner streets with peacocks walking about.
In general it is great for families with kids.
The property including the spa facilities and pools exceeded my expectations. Staff was friendly. The hotel can do a much better job at marketing the amazing facilities available :)
Great mix between traditional architecture and luxury spa.
Service, food, facility, spa....are on the level of 5* hotel in Switzerland!
One of the best hotels I have been till now.
Our room was very spacious and comfortable, the hotel facilities were excellent, food was great and staff was very accommodating. It was a very enjoyable stay from start to finish.
