The rooms are very nice, look freshly furnished and well maintained. All necessary room amenities were provided. We booked 3 rooms and the surprise is they are all different in layout and size. Parking at the back of the hotel allowed guests to walk to most of hotel rooms without stairways. I had room 18 that was in my opinion the nicest but required climbing some 16 steps to the room, which was very private (no room next to 18) and had windows/balcony facing the front and back of hotel. The receptionist Mr. Ferdinand who checked us in was very helpful. We arrived on a public holiday and most restaurants were closed but he helped find one for us in Riquewihr village that was close by. We did not book for breakfast but the ambience in the breakfast room looked beautiful. Mittlewihr is a convenient place to say to visit the various vineyards and quaint villages in this part of Alsace, France, also close to Colmar.

I picked Villa camelias because I needed a fridge/freezer to house medication in our way to Italy. But it was fabulous, incredibly roomy, very comfortable - slept so well. Kitchen well appointed , near lovely villages including riquewihr. Staff that welcomed us were lovely and left us cakes from the tea room attached.😊 I cannot fault Villa camelias, and would love to return and have more time to explore Alsace

Not far from the train station, it takes us 10 mins to walk . Not far from the hotel to the city center , it takes us 11 mins to walk as well. Ps I walked with my kids together and she played on the way as well. It is not complicated at all . If possible, for breakfast my kid would like to have a fresh cooked egg, instead of a cold egg.
