The room was spacious and clean, staff was all lovely and went above and beyond making the children feel very welcomed with activity packs and cookies & milk voucher. Swimming pool facilities were amazing. Would definitely return when going on our next cruise and will be recommending to other people cruising from Southampton. Breakfast was also very tasty and high quality.

Staff were amazingly helpful and welcoming. I have mobility issues and my niece is blind and Laz and the crew did everything possible to help us. Absolutely brilliant hospitality.
Beds were incredibly comfortable and the room was nice.

We arrived in the evening having crossed from St Malo by ferry and found that we had been upgraded to a suite as the rest of the hotel had been taken over by 108 police officers who were preparing to take part in the D Day celebrations. The suite was very spacious and comfortable and would normally have cost considerably more than we were charged. Breakfast in the morning was good and we had an adequate meal in the bar the night before - adequate meaning it was fine but had just had a week of superb French cooking, so it paled by comparison!
With a swimming pool, spa and gym, the 4-star Solent hotel is set in woodland between Southampton and Portsmouth.

Touches for the kids, like the cookie, robe and slippers, chocolate dip treat, drink carton and activity pack is just lovely.
Milk dispenser in the corridor is great when travelling with children.
First time we booked it was the cheapest last minute option, now we won’t stay anywhere else.

It's a lovely self contained property with everything you could want. Well equipped, comfortable with a fridge, hob, microwave and a lovely comfy king size bed.
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Fareham this weekend is 609 lei or, for a 4-star hotel, 670 lei. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Fareham for this weekend cost on average around 1,640 lei per night (based on Booking.com prices).
Strange. The town had all the shops and amenities, and particularly coffee shops, pubs and food outlets, but the town was quiet throughout all of 2 weekdays. Its a nice enough place but seemed deserted, even inside the shopping centre.
Waterstones book store seemed to have a very different range of books on British/Foreign history than its other locations, and I could have stayed there for hours. Fareham Library is also well equipped with reference material on local history. Though much of the town has been rebuilt or had new facades, and its past is vanishing.
Boy, that train station is a long walk away from the town centre !
Would recommend the Golden Lion for food/drink and conversation.

Fareham is a lovely old unspoilt example of georgian houses and buildings, interlaced with newer builds along the high street. It has a lovely atmosphere and is well worth a visit, as you can easily drive down to the local historic dockyards and go to the only Hovercraft museum in the world.

Fareham has plenty of shops, cheap pubs and eateries. It's an ideal situation for us to stay as we have family in Fareham, Hamble Le Rice and Hayling Island. Wickham is a lovely village just 10 minutes drive away and a bus runs there from Fareham. Wickham has great parking and lovely shops and eateries, would recommend a visit.

Like most small towns Fareham has suffered a little over the years with some of the bigger shops now gone and that has had a knock of effect. I used to live in Fareham until I retired some 7 years ago but do get back from time to time .it’s location makes it ideal as an access point to Southampton, Portsmouth and the south coast and the New forest.

Great situation near shops and public transport.
Great situation near shops and public transport. Hotel and restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and evening meals I had very generous portions and well cooked.
Couldn't get WiFi which was restricting and difficult to contact people, although lady in Reception tried to help. No lift to the higher floors and no person available to help with luggage.

A pity that the wedding guests filled up lounge area.
A pity that the wedding guests filled up lounge area. So nowhere’s to sit
Also lots of little children running about and screaming without supervision whilst eating our meal
Very off putting
Restaurant staff said happens regularly and disturbs diners
Clean and convenient. Great location: short drive from the beach and other locations and very handy having the Lidl just a stone's throw from the hotel. Plus, Whiteley shopping centre was only few minutes' drive away. Hotel or more like the lodge had good parking facilities and very dog friendly. Friendly staff.
Breakfast was lovely each morning and staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was super comfy. A good cheap stay in an old pub if you are looking to stay in Fareham. I was worried about noise from the pub but the rooms are all at the back and it’s very quiet. Nice big car park at the back too.
Absolutely wonderful. Very pleased we chose this hotel. Good value. Lovely spacious room. Great sofa bed which turns into two singles for my boys (7yrs&8yrs). Staff were so friendly and professional. Breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve had. Would very happily stay again!
Great value for money. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast choices inc best gluten free bread I've ever had in a hotel/restaurant. comfy beds. Spacious room. Great car parking. Central location. Very clean, taking COVID-19 very seriously. Felt very safe.

Very nice sized apartment in a good location for Fareham Rail Station and town centre. Very helpful pre-visit instructions from the owners. I only stayed for 2 nights but the flat is well equipped for a longer stay.
Lovely hotel literally right next to The Solent (but cheaper!) with free parking and easy to get to from the motorway. Rooms were really comfortable with good facilities for the price and breakfast was fab also.
A lovely and clean apartment to stay in with ample parking. Hot chocolate and milk was left for us which was a lovely touch. Walking distance to Fareham town centre and close to Portsmouth.
Very quiet location with just a little train noise. Two blocks from the supermarket. Easy access to the sights of Portsmouth and the Roman villa. Good internet. Nice shower.
