Lovely twin-bedded room with a view of Glastonbury Tor (but not all rooms have this, only the two at the front of the house). Self-service breakfast so nice and relaxed, use of the kitchen too. The crystal lounge was amazing, I absolutely loved the crystals everyone, in my room too. Nice quiet, calm energy about the house. Great welcome from the house manager. Ideal location for walking into Glastonbury and up the Tor.

We were there as a base for a friends wedding. It's a lovely town. The Abbey is well worth a visit and there's also the Tor and Chalice Well...the town is good for mooching about as well and there's a really good Italian restaurant called GIGI's which we enjoyed.

Lovely locals helped my fine the house - I got a bit lost. Glastonbury is as you would expect it to be, quirky and friendly. Everything shut earlier that I am used to in London. The attractions are all close to each other and walkable...
The attractions are all close to each other and walkable without needing transport. The Chalice Gardens are a serene and wonderful place to visit and definitely recommended. The waters are highly rich in iron and can be drunk in small amounts from the lion's head fountain (tested for potability). It is possible to paddle in the water due to its legendary healing properties. I would have visited the White Water Spring also, but it was closed on the day we visited as it is volunteer run and depends on their availability. The town is very interesting, especially if you are into crystals. We had lunch in one of the many restaurants, cafes and bistros. A climb up the Tor is a must for the view from the top. There were three musicians making music in the tower and it was wonderful, it made my whole visit perfect. A visit to Glastonbury is as magical as its legends.BrendaUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

If you’re into alternative lifestyles laid back people, walks up the tor, live music, therapies and crystals you will love. Huge choices of esoteric goods. As ever be discerning in what you choose to do or buy! The Crown in the centre is a good option for Glasto attuned food with the kitchen open most of the day plus pub atmosphere! Handy when most of the cafes are closed in the late afternoon/ evening (review written in January!)

Its was self contained so we could do what we wanted when we wanted, far better than a hotel room in my/our opinion. Apple Cottage was clean, tidy, well stocked with utensils so cooking not a problem. Nice to sit and watch telly after a day tramping up the Tor. Its very close to Glastonbury centre 5 mins by car, so shopping and sight seeing is easy. Far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet after the crowds. Superb service by Jill and team. A proper home from home what was not to like.

The fridge outside my door was very handy. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk to use. Located near St Johns car park at the back of the George and Pilgrim Hotel for which made it easier to access your vehicle to top up parking by 9am, as parking is free from 18.00 hrs - 09.00hrs. Paid the extra for a "four poster" room - well worth it as it was a great room - good sized room at the front of the building. Good beer and plenty of cubbyholes to enjoy, also outside area was mainly under canvas canopies which was good. Good helpful staff. Didn't see any ghosts!

Also the bus stop back to BTM was on your doorstep right outside near the pub. I had visions of having to walk a long way with heavy luggage. It was a relief to be able to book up for only one night.
