The view was amazing. With the clock tower chiming on the hour. A very active local life. Even in the early mornings. The appartment was lovely.

Big room, nice clean bathroom with soaps and shower gels, very polite friendly staff, comfortable beds, breakfast was tasty and great price to have it included
The hosts were really helpful. We wanted an impromptu barbecue and they kindly facilitated this. The laundry area/ boot room was very spacious with plenty of room for wellies and wet weather gear, as well as drying and washing facilities.

We ate at The Cobbles and also The Cross Keys. We had a takeaway from the Chinese in Kelso. All Good and enjoyable.
Kelso is compact and all on the flat. We used it as a base to visit other places in the Borders.

The history is all within walking distance. it has enough going on but like all towns since COVID, there are hopes closed that may never open again. the bus is regular so you can relax and watch the very beautiful scenery while having visits to other towns.

It was a very nice apartment on two floors.
It was a very nice apartment on two floors. Steep stairs up to both floors but apart from that very nice indeed and would highly recommend. We were visiting my sister who lives up the street from the Bakehouse so the recommendations below are not applicable as it was Christmas and all was closed.

A lovely little area with some amenities round about.
A lovely little area with some amenities round about. From our hotel in Roxburgh it took 5 minutes in a taxi to the town square. The town itself has everything you need Greg’s, chemist, co-op, coffee shops, antique stores, few pubs. So you can definitely spend a few hours toddling about.
There is also a castle about another 2/3 minutes drive by. But do check the website for seasonal opening times.
For great wholesome food I’d definitely recommended cobbles inn. You’ll probably have to book a table so be prepared, it’s a busy little place.
The property is ideally suited for exploring the Scottish Borders and all this beautiful area has to offer. There is a comfortable double (with a further single off it suitable perhaps got a child and smother single bedroom. There is a further double that pulls down from a cupboard in the sitting room so plenty of beds for a family of any size. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a good dining room off this. Would thoroughly recommend.
Graham was a very welcoming, friendly and attentive host. Bellevue Guest House is conveniently situated just a short stroll away from Kelso town centre. There is private parking behind the house. The rooms were very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was outstanding, using local produce, and by far the best I've ever had. We can't wait to go back again.
The hotel is right in the center of Kelso. The staff are absolutely amazing. We were meeting other members of my partners family from America, Scotland and England. We were the only ones who were staying at the hotel and no one had thought about dinner. At Four pm I asked if the hotel could accommodate 15 for dinner and they went out of their way to accommodate us.
Everything - it was fab! A relaxing weekend in a quiet and private bothy within a working farm. A real home from home located in the countryside but 5 mins drive to Kelso town. Ideal as a base for touring the borders or just walking, reading, eating and relaxing in the hot tub whatever the weather.
Everything you’d need and in the perfect location for touring the area. Hosts were lovely and the cooked breakfast was perfect! Off road parking available at the property and very short walk into Kelso market square, with plenty of places to shop, eat & drink.
Staff were friendly and helpful, Menu was limited but delicious, room was quiet and comfortable enough, hotel is in a great location, right beside the River Tweed and centre of Kelso. If you want a chilled out relaxing time away I'd recommend the Ednam.
breakfast was very good
the pool sauna and relaxation area was very good
our room in the same building as the spa was very good
did not play golf due to bad weather but I have played the course before and it is championship standard
The cottage was cosy and everything I could want for a solo stay with work. The bathroom is fabulous, the cottage roasting and the bed very very comfortable. Close enough for travelling each day to Kelso for work.
This was our second visit to Castle Nook, and once again we could find no fault with the property. It is handy for the centre of Kelso, there is parking close by, the property was clean and well looked after.
Spa was zen-like. Wasn’t too busy as it was mid-week, so could get great use out of the facilities. The hotel itself is grand, and in many ways impressive. Service was exceptional.
The location and the view from the room was amazing and availability of parking inside the hotel.
The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly.
