The weather was terrible very high winds and very very wet but that didn't stop us from doing some sight seeing the only thing that the guest house needs a lick of paint inside and outside that would make the building more attractive everything else was fine for us and destination from Bridge to guest house sat nav said second exit but it was the first we would go back again thanks for having us Mr.+ Mrs.whitehouse

The location was just for a stop over on our way to Falkirk.

The location was just for a stop over on our way to Falkirk. The bed had seen better days as the springs had gone and were very uncomfortable and noisy with little movement. The floorboards also were very noisy from upstairs and when moving around the room.

A great breakfast. The staff could not do enough for you from serving you at breakfast to taking your drinks orders from your table. Spotlessly clean room with ensuite and sea view. I would highly recommend.

    Scenery was nice.

Scenery was nice. You definitely need a car as a lot of walking and also you are depending on transport, which is unreliable. No shops only the Coop. If you have no car you have to walk over two bridges and back to get food. A few restaurants.Didn’t realise how far the guest house from the station was. We walked it in bad weather and it took us nearly 40 mins. It was definitely an experience. It’s a day visit place or a base to drive to other places.

The shops do get overrun by tourists often so can be difficult to get basic needs when coachloads of people are trying to get trinkets and tatt. But the views from everywhere on this island are stunning, no matter where. Kyleakin is just the first of many on your journey round.

This is not a bnb, just a bunk house, very poor, no standards, room grubby very dated, all needs upgrading, would not recommend to anyone, breakfast was well cooked, but next door in a bikers cafe! No disrespect to bikers, we also have a bike. Staff at the cafe welcoming..but its just a hostel!

The lady who runs the hostel is SO NICE! I stayed in the main part, so I can't speak to the caravans. The rooms are a good size. There's one toilet and one shower per floor, it looked like. There were no lockers, so bring a bag lock if you need it. It felt a bit rustic, but clean and safe (if you're familiar with Skye, you'll see it saves you a ton of money). There's really nothing in Kyleakin (though Eilean Donan Castle is close), so everyone is on their way somewhere else.

This chalet is a very comfortable and modern apartment with high standard. Its the cleanest apartment where we stayed during our trip. Everything what you need is prepared and Peter & Monika are very lovely hosts who wants that their guests have a perfect stay. We are very impressed that Peter built this chalet by himself and for all the lovely details he takes into account. Its the perfect place to relax after a worthy day spending sightseeing on isle of skye.

The location is brilliant. Kyleakin is a little bit away from the sights of the island since its directly off the bridge (handy for the drive home!) but is QUIET and peaceful, unlike other villages which are mobbed by tourists. Its worth the little extra drive across the beautiful island. The staff at the hotel were lovely and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable and well worth the price. The views from the breakfast room are stunning.

The bathroom looked like it had new facilities whereas the bedroom could use some updating. It was hot in the room even though we opened the windows. The location is good if you are visiting the Isle of Skye. It is very pretty area. The breakfast was standard breakfast. Supper was a hit and miss. The smoked fish were good; the curry not good; the steak pie average.

The living room and kitchen were well stocked and extremely comfortable and spacious with outstanding views of the isle of Skye. The bedroom was large and the funky bathroom with giant tub was a dream to relax in after a long day. We had a beautiful meal nearby at Saucy Mary’s.

Everything about our stay exceeded expectations, from the tranquility of Kyleakin bay to the superb room decor, the amazing view, the delicious breakfast, but mostly, the passion White Heather Hotel has to offer to make your stay comfortable, relaxed and definately wanting to come back.
