The hotel is easy to find when you leave the metro station in Piraeus in the night (after a long flight to Athens airport). The hotel proved to have better standard than I expected. There seem to be a man in the reception all night, and almost no traffic noise could be heard in the room (#103). There is also short way from the hotel down to gate E7 in the harbour from where I took the Blue Star ferry next morning.

Piraeus is a work-a-day town with nothing special to see.
Piraeus is a work-a-day town with nothing special to see. The main reason people stay here is to take the ferry or a cruise ship. We stayed at the Glaros Hotel, which is a basic accommodation that I would not stay at again. I recommend staying in Athens or another local town.

Disregard comment on missing items from bag previously made.
Disregard comment on missing items from bag previously made. They reviewed footage and no one touched my bag. So it must have been in Athens when some souvenirs were taken. Loved the location of this hotel and the staff were incredibly helpful and kind.

This was a lively city with plenty of restaurants and cafes. It was a good place to stay after the ferry from Mykonos. The Archaeological Museum was good as was the harbour walk. There were many beautiful churches.

We enjoyed our stay in an apartment in Piraeus not far from the port entrance. The port is a very busy and very big area, it took us a while to find our way round as there are very few directional signs in English. It makes it hard to find things initially. We had to ask directions a lot and some locals treated us poorly with eye rolling, etc. while they explained directions to us like we were children. Once you get it worked out though it is a great way to do a bit of island hoping. We went on day trips to Paros, Hydra and Aegina. Loved them all.
Hospitality staff in restaurants and cafes in Piraeus were great, very friendly and helpful. Great service everywhere we went.
The area is not very attractive though as it is a working waterfront and as with everywhere in Greece there is so much graffiti. So sad that a city with such incredible history is so badly defaced. Overall it was a great stay though.

A bustling harbour and marina area of downtown Athens.
A bustling harbour and marina area of downtown Athens. We loved it as being near the Zea Marina meant lots of nightlife and amazing super yachts etc. It had a good family feel with people out and about safely having fun till quite late. You could access public transport to get into Athens centre easily and I would say this is a good a place to stay if not better due to ability to swim and see some quieter parts beyond the central tourist areas. It also meant accessing trips to the Islands was easy as they mainly left from the marinas, and if you wanted a ferry or cruise these were also nearly at the port the other side of the peninsula.

In my opinion, better than Athens, nice walking, shopinng, coffie and food everywhere, nice people
Thanks Booking.com for the free taxi from the airport to the hotel, it was exceptional convenience
Great location for anyone needing to access the ferries, a quick walk to the port and surrounded by restaurants, coffee houses, shops etc. in teeming Piraeus. The front desk staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful, with a particular salute to the wonderful Anastasia, who seems to embody all of the vivacious warmth and hospitality that makes Greece one of the greatest destinations in the world. This is a modest hotel, so don't expect the Ritz. But everything required for a comfortable stay is there for you.
Lilia Hotel is located close to the ferries at the Piraeus and to the metro station "Municipality Theatre" where trains take you to the airport and to Athens. The room was ok for a couple of nights but overlooked a wall. Breakfast is simple but acceptable. Staff is kind and helpful. After the check-out at 11, we were allowed to leave our suitcases till the afternoon when our flight was scheduled.
This hotel is a stone throw away from the Metro that takes 12 minutes to get into Athens City Centre. It is also on the metro line that takes you to the Airport and a short walk to the ferry terminal and the marina.
The staff went out of their way to be helpful and give us great recommendations and took time to give us directions to good shops and restaurants.
The Filon is an economical two star hotel. It is very near to the two harbours and the central shopping area. It is within a 15 minutes walk to transport to Athens and the airport. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. There is a lift. The hotel is a bit depressed and worn. The room was quite small. It was clean and serviced.
The hotel was conveniently located near the port and the staff was helpful and welcoming from the first night. The room was clean, well decorated, and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and convenient every morning- a highlight! This hotel was our favorite that we stayed at in the islands and we can’t wait to go back!
Staffs were friendly and helpful in every ways. Rooms were clean and easy access to port.. Hotel provided free transfer and nice cafes /restuarant within walking distance :) good choice if you'd like to stay near the port for convenient transfer to the other Greek Islands!
We stayed here for what amounts to 6 hours to transition from Athens Airport to board a ferry at the Piraeus Port. The hotel was adequate for the task. Took about 5 minutes to get to the port the next morning. A no frills hotel, it was clean and served its purpose.
The hotel was only a ten minute walk to the metro station and trains into Athens ran every 10 minutes or so and took about half an hour to get to the city centre. Some terrific restaurants close to the hotel offering Italian, Indian, Thai and Greek food.
Perfect location if you need to catch a ferry. A 10 minute walk to Gate 9 to catch ferry to Santorini and a 3 minute walk from the bus stop (bus from airport) to hotel. Very courteous staff. Clean and modern room.
Extremely professional and friendly staff. The hotel is in a perfect position opposite to the bus stop and sea. The hotel is fitted out beautifully and we will definitely book there again when visiting Greece.
Staff, location, breakfast were all great for a one night stopover connecting island ferry and a flight from Athens airport (and the reverse). The hotel was spotlessly clean, though showing it's age.
This hotel was a great find!. Clean rooms, good breakfast, comfortable beds and a very helpful staff who went out of their way to get us to the correct port and were very accommodating. 10 stars!
Very clean and modern design. Position near the ports was great. The staff are the main reason this hotel is so good. All the staff where super helpful with any questions we had or help we needed.
Excellent location close to Piraeus Cruise port, METRO station across hotel 1 line to downtown touristic Athens (2 EURO each direction 22 minutes). Good breakfast excellent value for money
The hotel was very nice. Great location easy access to the port for our cruise. Staff was very knowledgeable helped us with any directions. Would definitely stay again
