The host was incredibly kind and informative. The property is right next to the national park, and it is also a little paradise on its own. Beautiful gardens and fruit/nut trees!

Everything, expecially Mama: she's an extraordinary and beautiful person, very kind and available in helping you. She put everything in her work, and the final impression is to being guested by your own mother. The room is warmly decorated, and she makes effort in make you feel home offering you cookies and liquor or coffee. Ok, maybe she doesn't speak English, but she is able to communicate as well. I'd really like to meet her again!

I think this place for relaxing like our Carpathians in Ukraine. Calm, nature, views and just you (at least in the evening).
I stayed for one night because visited Plitvice lakes. For that trip in my opinion this place not very suitable - 8km from the park. You can get there just by car or taxi. There is no public transport or I don’t know about it.
Although I enjoyed my stay.

Poljanak is on the slope of one part of the mountains that form Plitvice Lakes, up the hill, with few houses (mostly guesthouses too), breathtaking view, nature in its purest. You can walk into Plitvice National Park and do hiking, visiting the lakes or just relaxing in the nature. There are restaurants around Poljanak, and also market. I preffer the quietness, so for me it was a dream staying there. Lovely.

National Park is a Jewel in the crown.
National Park is a Jewel in the crown. The waterfalls and lakes have easy access, well laid out and good choice of easy to difficult walks and a bus service to help get to the higher lakes if you don't want to walk.

The host was really friendly.
The host was really friendly. The location was great and only approx 30min walk from the back entrance of Plitvice lakes with some fantastic view points along the way. Initially we had some difficulty finding this. The usual entrances to the park are Entrances 1 & 2, where you can buy tickets. There is a third entrance, where you can enter if you already have tickets but cannot buy new tickets. If you are in the national park and trying to get to the accommodation then you need to take a road up from the P3 check point, there is a signpost to Polijanak near the P3 checkpoint. We bought a two day pass at the park and stayed here one night. This meant we could enjoy all the park without it being rushed. The accommodation had good facilities, the kitchen was well equipped for us to make our own dinner and overall it was very spacious.
We couldn’t find a shop nearby, after a long walk around the park it would’ve been nice to grab a beer! Luckily we had brought food with us for lunches and dinner. The accommodation does offer dinner and breakfast but we didn’t try this.
The staff was friendly and helpful, they had a lot of travel literature available, maps and other informing material about the park and other interesting things to visit nearby. The accomodation was nice and spacious. We had a balcony with a nice view, a private bathroom and a small kitchen, which was very helpful because there are no stores or restaurants in Poljanak. The place was well heated, there was hot water all day long and the water pressure in the shower was great.
Located in a small village close to the Plitvice Lakes the Villa Lucija provides an excellent place to stay - unfortunately we were not able to stay any longer than just one night. The apartment with 2 bedrooms, a living room & full kitchen plus a toilet with shower was very clean and well equipped. The owners operate a restaurant next door and the restaurant is well worth to visit (food is tasty and prices reasonable).
We were received by some very friendly and warm people on a stunning, beautifull location. We stayed here for 1 night, so we could see the Plitvice Lakes. The room wasn't very spacious and the bathroom wasn't new/luxurious, but that's what you can expect for this very cheap price. The room simply had everything you'll need, especially if you're just staying for 1 or a few nights.
Very friendly welcome and we managed to understand each other eventually. Beds were comfortable. There was a fridge, a kettle and dishes. Gorgeous view out the window. There was some welcome alcohol in the room and we appreciated the gesture as well as the fact that the owner did not insist when we said we don't drink. Very close to the entrance 1 of Plitvice national park.
Katharina, our gracious hostess, was the loveliest gem of the entire Plitvice Lakes National Parks region. She was incredibly kind and generous, excited to speak with us despite the language barrier, and provided us with all of the heartwarming comforts of home away from home. I could not recommend her lovely place enough. Would 100% stay again!
It was clean and the owner was very polite and friendly. It is great value for money and very close to Plitvice. It has 2 big rooms and all 6 of us had plenty of room to sleep and rest. It is not the Hilton but for this price it exceeded my expectations.
Wonderful host, full of information about Plitvice Lakes. I particularly appreciated her advance information about weather conditions and suggesting that we postpone our visit, which meant that when we did spend time there things were perfect.
Good basic stay for one night relatively close to Plitvice National park, it’s a 15 min drive so car needed.. the hostess gave us a tip for a great viewpoint of the big waterfall that you wouldn’t see from the other side of the park.
Amazing views!! Comfortable bed and wonderful host. Nice little puppy that visited with on the patio as well. The location was close to Plitvice, which made it very easy to get to the park by the time it opened.
Great location for visiting Plitvice lakes! A quiet and beautiful house, comfortable beds and spacious rooms! The breakfast was more than delicious and the hosts were very friendly and helpful!
Very nice and cozy little property close to Plitvice with parking. The lady who owns it was very kind and helpful - she showed us where to go to see an above view of the falls. Updated rooms.
