This is an amazing little hotel. It only has four rooms and we ended up being the only people staying here so it was like having a private villa. The place is so charming and the staff were wonderful. The food was delicious and service was amazing. The views from the hotel are spectacular, you can see all across the gilli islands. We stayed for one night to relax after hiking mt. Rinjani and it was the perfect place if u just want to eat, swim and relax and not leave the hotel. I highly recommend staying here.

The hotel manager was really helpful, she explained me, in advanced, the different options to reach Gili islands: speedboat (in front of the hotel), fastboats and slowboats from Bangsal. Our flight landed in the evening, so when we arrived at the hotel, we needed to have dinner, inside the hotel itself there is a good local food restaurant. The room was spacious, water, tea / coffee and boiler available. They provide, on request, hairdryer too.

We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a Garden Suite upon arrival & the pleasant surprises just kept coming. The supreme comfort & design of the walk-through, inside-outside suite - with its super impressive open-air, courtyard garden bathroom - made our stay so relaxing. Importantly, the soundproofing of the room was excellent. Remember that Gili T is a "Party Island" with several bars & restaurants offering live music into the late evening. So ensuring the peace & serenity of the your personal space is a major consideration by Scallywags Management. Even the majesty of the sand-carpeted "Scallywags Restaurant" located straight across the road & perched over the beach, was so special. We even welcomed the sunrise from the restaurant, had our early morning swim, then settled back to a generous sand-between-the-toes Scallywags breakfast, while watching the dive/snorkel tour boats picking up their customers directly off the beach. Scallywags Staff were plentiful & attentive. No request was too much trouble for these dedicated hospitality workers - many of whom travel across from Lombok to work. Gili T is a wonderful holiday destination - especially if you're a "water baby". In my first swim - directly in front of Scallywags - it took only five freestyle strokes to find my first turtle. Amazing!!! And these majestic sea creatures are so used to humans, they will happily go about their feeding on seagrass while you hover around them.
