This was the best hotel I had stayed during my Iceland trip. The selling point of this room was how close we are to the view. Be sure to book the room with mountain view. The other rooms would be face the carpark. The room is a nice big size. Breakfast was decent too, just enough. I like that it was more like a motel feel. The black outer colour gave a luxurious feel. We had come from Vik and stayed the first night here. The next day was a short drive to Vestrahorn/Stokkness/Viking village. We finished it by 3pm and rested the rest of the evening. Perfect stay if you want to visit those places. Would definitely love to stay again.

The room curtains let the light around the sides during the night. Could be darker and be able to cover the sides. Since the bed was below the curtains, it was too bright early in the morning (3:30 am)

Lovely quiet village on the sea.
Lovely quiet village on the sea. The langoustine remind me more of shrimp due to the size. They are tasty and mild flavored. It’s a great place for a relaxing stay. We are at Kaffihornid. Lovely atmosphere, tasty burgers and lobster pasta and sandwich. I wouldn’t recommend the lobster soup. It’s a clear broth and doesn’t have much flavor, not worth the price in my opinion. We stayed at Skyaborg apartments and highly recommend them. ZBistro also has a breakfast restaurant, which is unusual for Iceland.

Very quaint and QUIET seaport town.
Very quaint and QUIET seaport town. A lot of the restaurants and bars were closed during my stay but was able to go to 1 of them which was lovely. It's a very far east part of Iceland I recommend going to, even if it is for 1 night.

Gem! This was worth the extra drive to visit.
Gem! This was worth the extra drive to visit. Honestly it was my favorite part of Iceland. Rugged beauty without the long line of tourist buses to contend with. Stokksnes Beach is a hidden gem at sunrise!

The Berjaya in Höfn is in a wonderful position with the harbour on one side and a view out across the water to the glaciers and the west on the other. It is also easy walking distance to all the local bars and restaurants.

Hofn is a lovely town in SE Iceland.
Hofn is a lovely town in SE Iceland. It has numerous, easy walking paths thru town and around their waterfront including a golf course with views that I think rival those of the finest courses in the world. Not a golfer, but if I were, this is a place I would want to play. It was spectacular. The views of the glacier were outstanding. There were several good restaurants, lobster is a local specialty. There are nature and art trails along the waterfront and a number of good historical exhibits. Wished we could have spent more time here. It felt like a vibrant, fully functioning community that I would have liked to explore more.
The room was basic, clean, and satisfied our needs. Everything in the room worked as it should and there was a nice view of the fields. The shared kitchen is on the lower level and we had to ask staff where it was because the signage (if any) was not clear of its existence. Throughout the space, there are cozy nooks for reading and one with some toys. I did like looking at the photos in the Icelandic books. The staff we spoke with were friendly and attentive at check-in and check-out. We did not eat here based on others' reviews.
Huge hostel, very good value for money.
Bathrooms/ showers are spacious and clean.
Kitchen has many cooking opportunities, plenty of clean towels and even a dishwasher!
Also the girl at the reception was super friendly and upgrades us to a triple room so we could have a double bed 🥰.
Laundry and Dryer costs 2500 isk - one of the cheapest options we‘ve encountered on our 3 week trip around Iceland.
Breakfast is really good with fresh warm bread! Different from other places we visited in Iceland where it’s just basic. Here we loved it! Evening restaurant also surprised us with delicious and not expensive food.
Hotel is really clean. We booked a room with shared bathroom but the stay overall was better than in other hotels with private bathrooms! Cozy, clean, good value for money.
I like the location, very easy to find. We had dinner there and very nice.
The male staff was very nice and friendly.
The Wi-Fi was not working in the rooms, we paid for breakfast, a young female staff was very inpatient and unfriendly when I asked her for some help.
This is the most expensive hotel rooms in Iceland but I don’t think is Worthing it. Quite disappointed.
Inges (not sure I spell her name right)is a very nice and passionate host. She is very helpful and a very knowledgable Icelandic. She cooked us a delicious breakfast and offered us an unforgettable horse farm tour in her own horse farm. Her horses are very lovely and charming. The location is beautiful and good for aurora if you are lucky to have any.
This was the best stay of our entire Iceland trip. We had booked the private washroom rooms and those are just across the main reception area. Fantastic room with super scenic views of the surrounding. We got to see northern lights at this location. Dinner provided by the hotel was super tasty. Staff was also very friendly.
Amazing place, clean, cosy, comfortable. Amazing staff. To sit and look at the glacier while having breakfast was so beautiful. We were three with a 4 year old. Food was really good. Highly recommend a stay here. Used the Höfn hotel as a stop on a south tour of Iceland. Really beautiful countryside around this area.
One of the best cottages I’ve been to in Iceland.
The place was tidy and cozy.
The staff were friendly and the food was to die for! Poka is an amazing host and cook 👩🍳
if you are going to visit Vestrahorn, Stokkness and Höfn this is your place ! ☺️☺️☺️
The hostess is extremely friendly and interesting person, she speaks perfect English and German and gives many tips and tell a lot about Iceland. Kettle and microwave available. Great location - next to the ocean and mountains, Ring Road and Hofn.
Situated in a great location, close to the water and dining options within Hofn. The room was great with all the amentities needed for a one night stay while travelling through Iceland. Breakfast options were good as well
the property was in a good location for us. the rooms were basic but more spacious than most hotel rooms in Iceland.
our favorite part was the staff. all of them were hard working, knowledgeable and very friendly.
It's right in the middle of Hofn and nice place to get break during your long Iceland drive. Rooms are cozy and warm. Worth for money. Host was so helpful and friendly.
The host was very nice and accommodating. By far, this is the nicest place we’ve stayed in Iceland. Highly recommend anyone to stay here! It felt like a luxury cabin.
Was one of the best accomodations in Iceland. Very spacious room and bathroom. Clean, really good beds, bedlinnen and pillows. Well located, 5 minute drive to Hoffn.
The style of the hotel was an Icelandic winner..The view from. The large picture window was incredible. Location right on Ring road was convenient for travel.
Good stop off location on ring road tour. Clean and simple hotel - value for money in Iceland. Free 24/7 tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast decent for price.
