The location is fantastic - it's the perfect place to stay if you want to get out of busy Como and have a more quiet experience of the Lago di Como. You can walk around the old villas of Brunate, visit the panorama points or hike up the hill. The staff of Vista Lago were super kind. I was travelling alone and they made me feel very welcome! I asked if I could stay another night, and this was possible (in another room). My first room had a big terrace and a view of the church, and the second room had a balcony with view of the lake. Both were nice and comfy, and both views were lovely. The whole experience felt quite authentic, yet very safe and comfortable for (solo) tourists.

Based 500 m above lake Como and only 50 m to the upper station of the Funicolore this Hotel provides a breathtaking view. Driving up to Brunate on neat and sometime very narrow streets with close serpentines is a thrill itself. Better chose a small car. The Bellavista is a hotel worth to be pictured for postcards. The rooms with a little alpine style are lovely and also the breakfast was a splendid experience.

New ownership and we experienced a warm, welcoming and service-minded staff. When we checked out we got a bottle of Prosecco from the owner. The owner is very positive and friendly. We felt very valued and taken care of.

We had the privilege of spending 4 nights in this incredible guest house. The location is perfect for escaping the crowds and a close 15min walk to the funicular with takes you down to Como (if you don’t have a car). Thank you to Massimo for the pick up and drop off during our stay. The accommodation is incredibly comfortable and beautifully designed. The pool and expansive garden was a highlight too. Waking up being surrounded by perfectly manicured gardens and the sounds of birds chirping really gave this stay a relaxing feel. The breakfast is also delicious, with a selection of fruit, cheese, cakes, croissants, fresh coffee and the option to have eggs your way. So so good! Lastly, thank you to all the staff at Rubini who were welcoming and accommodating to all our requests which included dinner reservations, arrangement of a massage in our room and helpful recommendations.
