Everything about this hotel was 10/10. The staff were so lovely and helpful. I am gluten free and they did everything to help accomodate for my needs. The buffet was great, the views were amazing, the staff were the best and the rooms were clean. I would go back here in a heart beat.

The view from the rooftop terrace is amazing. The breakfast spread was very good. It is family run hotel and Rosalina, Rosa and Luigi are very gentle and warm people. They assisted us with whatever we requested including car hire. It’s perfectly located from both Positano and Amalfi without the hassle of climbing stairs. Located right next to a bus stop.

It's a lovely family-run business. They got to know you almost instantly and you were made to feel you were the only guests there! Always happy to help, nothing was too much effort. The hotel taxi service was great - always able to help. Breakfasts were world-class.

Location is amazing, convenient, easy access to public transport. Breakfast was delicious and always fresh. Staff were very well mannered and went above and beyond.
At Hotel Il Pino you decide where to have breakfast, on the terrace or on your private balcony; either way you have a fantastic view across the Amalfi Coast.

We had the most amazing stay at Hotel Il Pino for 3 nights. It was in the centre of Praiano in regards to bars and restaurants, a few minutes either side. Of course, it has the most breathtaking view just like the pictures, worth every cent for the view alone. The pool facilities were wonderful, a little chilly upon getting in but it is just what you need on a very hot day. The breakfast was fantastic, it's self service mostly and eat as much as you like. The cappuccinos are especially outstanding we never had until arriving and have had them every day since. Housekeeping was excellent, we received fresh towels and housekeeping every day which is not always the case but great to see it. The staff in all areas of hotel, reception, breakfast staff, restaurant staff, pool staff and the night porter were all exceptional. They honestly were brilliant and a real assest to the hotel. Managment should be very proud of all!! About an hour after checkout I received a message from the hotel saying I forgot my car keys which was obviously a little stressful. The receptionist (forget her name brown long hair), went out of her way to deliver them to me personally in Positano in the evening after her work shift. This was such a help as if we had to go back it would have spoiled the day between buses and waiting and our plans for the current day. Really grateful for everyone at Hotel Il Pino and we will definitely return some day. 10/10, we would highly recommend.

You've found it!..The most wonderful little boutique hotel! Family owned and operated since 1971. The owner and staff are all so very lovely, kind, hospitable and attentive. We absolutely loved our stay. The room had a gorgeous view of the sea from our cozy balcony. The bed was comfortable and the room a nice size. I loved the historical charm and all the Italian tile. Breakfast was served daily and was incredible. Hotel provides free shuttle service to the beach and into town for shopping. So very accommodating. They also provided free parking (which is huge).
During our stay we held a very intimate wedding ceremony for our friends. The staff was so helpful in planning and providing assistance. They ordered the brides flowers. The allowed us private use of the upper terrace before it opened to the public. They prepared a perfect spread of fruit and cheese along with Prosecco for after celebrations. I cannot say enough about how wonderful everyone and everything was during our stay.
The neighborhood is quiet. Scenic and just beautiful. Several very nice restaurants walking distance. Hotel has its own very lovely restaurant I highly recommend. They also have a spa and though I did not have time for any services we did meet the staff and they were awesome. I am certain spa services would be amazing.
I highly recommend you have the staff arrange a private boat ride for you. We booked 4 hours for 6 people 900 Euro. Absolutely worth every penny.
We will never forget our stay here. It is a 10 out of 10 in every way.

Priano is very small, so it is less expensive than the other cities close by. The church and the local neighborhood around were enjoyable. The fine restaurants were very expensive, and the moderate priced restaurants were hit and miss.

We love Priania we have been there several times and it never disappoints. It’s a small town but everything you need is there the bus service to Positano and Amalfi is very handy. We were disappointed that the ferries weren’t operating yet so we didn’t get to Capri but all the more reason to come back again.

There's not a lot to do in Praiano itself but it's a great place to stay for day trips to Positano and Amalfi with frequent buses stopping in the village. It was good to be away from the crowds in the evenings and whilst small the choice and standard of restaurants was good

Buses to and from neighbouring Amalfi and positano are cheap but don't necessarily arrive on time !! Tickets must be purchased in advance at little shops. The locals are very friendly and happy to point you in the right direction and if you need help with the steep stairs take the little local
Bus for one euro that runs exactly in time and to listen to the locals is a joy. Such a community feel and a great feel good boost !!

The Sentieri degli Dei was my favorite.
The Sentieri degli Dei was my favorite. We walked from Praiano to Positano and had lunch in Nochelle. The walk up the to the church and the views were wonderful. The little town on the hillside was clean and bright and wonderful for anyone who does not mind walking up and down many steps. I would recommend that future travellers not spend much time in either Positano or Amalfi. Both were crowded and very touristy.

A great value to stay as "home base".
A great value to stay as "home base". We did day trips to Positano and Amalfi each day via water taxi. The bus would have been much more economical but we wanted to see each town from the water and the taxis provided a mini tour of the coast with each trip. We did want to take the city bus to the beach on a Sunday AM, but after waiting about 20 minutes it passed our stop by b/c it was packed full. We decided to do the 30 minute walk to Il Gavitella beach and discovered some nice small shops and the San Gennaro church.
The town itself has great restaurant options including Il Pirata, Franchino and La Moressa.
The host was friendly, and did her best to answer my questions. No english was spoken, so we used Google translate, which was fine. In a quiet location with some good views once you get outside. The fan provided was quite strong which was nice. One thing to note, is that Praiano is not flat ... There are quite a few stairs to climb to reach the accommodation - this was not an issue for me. The breakfast provided consisted of pastries, and there was an espresso machine. There are two supermarkets a short walk away which was very convenient.
Praiano is a haven from the busy towns of Positano and Amalfi but just a short bus ride away so you can still explore both from here. Praiano has a good selection of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. The hotel is built into the coastal cliff extending 3 floors down below the road with spectacular views of Positano and the Amalfi coastline. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly. We were fortunate to score hotel parking which is precious during peak season.
The location was amazing. Praiano is the prefect place on the Amalfi Cost to unwind away from the business of Positano. There are gorgeous and quiet beaches close by, with lovely little restaurants. We hired a scooter from a little place close by, and this is definitely the best way to get around. If you prefer the bus, this is literally 30 metres from the front door as well. Flora the host was lovely, and very responsive and helpful with everything we needed!
La Barbera is an amazing family-run B&B. They have created such a unique and beautiful place in Praiano. The room is beautiful and clean and the view from the balcony (especially at sunset) is truly breathtaking. The breakfast is excellent and freshly made. What stands out among all the others good things we mentioned is all the staffs at La Barbera who are very kind-hearted and genuine. It was the best stay of our trip to Italy.
Perfect location for our vacation. Hotel is conveniently located just outside a SITA bus stop allowing for easy transit to Positano and Amalfi. Additionally, the set of stairs leading to Marina di Praia beach are very close. We were able to walk from the property to the beach as well as many excellent restaurants in Praiano. The view from our room and from the terrace where breakfast was served was stunning.
This family owned hotel is stunning! Somehow they built it on the side of a cliff so the views are spectacular from every location in the hotel! The grounds are beautifully manicured for a true feeling of paradise. The elevator down to the beach pool and tunnels through the mountain are such a cool experience!
The staff was extremely professional and catered to our every need, and the food was outstanding.
-Roberto provided his WhatsApp details and helped arrange every aspect of our stay (restaurant reservations, transportation, etc… this was better service than any 5* hotel we’ve stayed at. FYI fun golf cart taxi to positano was 30 euros, car to Naples airport was 110 euros)
-super clean
-amazing view
-gigantic terrace with outdoor shower.
The location for the hotel is perfect. There is a bus stop right outside that stops all along the coast and it is also walking distance to some gorgeous restaurants, bars and the beach. All the staff are super friendly and are happy to help you with anything. The terrace bar on top of the hotel has some of the best views in Praiano.
If you want to visit Positano but not have to deal with all the crowds stay in Praiano and catch the bus to Positano for 1.80euro. It is the next town and so charming but quiet
Better still stay at hotel holiday and the bus stop is right at your door
The views from the bar balcony are wonderful
The staff was amazing and so helpful with anything we needed. The view was perfect. The location was nice, Praiano is a small, quaint, cute town. The bus stop was right outside the hotel so made exploring different towns easy. Breakfast was delicious every morning.
Amazing hotel while in Praiano. The owner, Luigi, and his amazing family, are the best people we have met on our trip to Italy. Luigi offers free transfers for all his guests.
The breakfast prepared by Luigi's daughter was delicious.
Highly recommended!!
I chose the Hotel Margherita because of the reviews and location… it did not disappoint. As a matter of fact, the hotel staff went far beyond all expectations! The location is perfect for a getaway and for maneuvering the towns of the Amalfi coast.
I absolutely loved everything about this hotel :) my first time in Italy and I chose to stay here because of the calmness and still would be able to enjoy Positano!! form
beginning to end Luigi and his family were behind excellent for us !!
Hotel view was amazing and it was very close to one of the best beach in Praiano. As big plus the hotel restaurant was surprisingly great especially when you are stuck at the hotel while the weather is heavily raining.. -bad luck:(
the lovely view, a large room, comfortable bed and a great balcony. also the staff in the hotel were very helpful and nice. we used the hotel parking. we enjoyed our stay there and the city of Praiano.
Incredible views, comfortable room with everything we needed, and the best breakfast we had in Italy. Perfect location out of the hustle and bustle of the rest of Amalfi Coast. Highly recommend.
Clean and very respectful staff. The location if you’re staying in Praiano is prime and a short drive to Positano and arguably the best view on the almalfi coast!
