The hotel has a nice decor, the staff are very pleasant and attentive. Room was of a decent size. I had a problem with the shower pressure and it was fixed the very same morning, with the man at reception giving me an explanation of what had happened and was very apologetic. It is good that they resolve any minor issues quickly. Breakfast is nearby, and also the village of Ait Ben Haddou. Pool area seemed nice, but did not use it as when I visited it wasnt hot enough.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay a one-of-a-kind. Karim picked us up in Ouarzazate and took us to his beautiful Kasbah. He even arranged a quad excursion for us last-minute. They treated us with the best suite and an unforgettable Moroccan dinner with a cake included for my husband’s birthday. We will never forget it!! We felt so cozy and welcome. Thank you Karim & staff!! We will be back :)

Most people come here for a few hours. I stayed for 3 days and could have stayed longer. It’s a lovely friendly town where you can spend time browsing through small shops, visiting art galleries, watching the night sky and soaking up the ambiance of this historical place. The highlight was a full day trip on horseback with Cheval Aït Ben Haddou. They have a Google page.

It's a really quiet town honestly.
It's a really quiet town honestly. It is a convenient place to stop, half way between Marrakesh and Merzouga but i feel like half a day would be plenty to see it all. I spent two days and it was definitely too long. The city itself is nothing special, rather touristy. Plenty of tour buses stop for the day, so it gets crowded between 11 to 5, but insanely quiet a night once they're all gone. I highly recommend La Terraza for dinner, they actually have delicious Italian food, with charcuterie and cheese, and their pizza and pasta are authentic. They also serve alcohol which is super hard to find in small morrocan towns like this one.

The kasbah was great to visit. Enjoyed the climb. Found some good shops for souvenirs. Brilliant views. Stunning scenery. Not much in the town / Main Street. Just a few cafes. The main attraction is the kasbah. Find a hotel with a roof top to enjoy the view and take in some star gazing too.

The Riad was outstanding and situated about 4 miles from Ait Benhaddou itself. Taxi about 50 dirhams to get there. Admission is free to the site, although people will try and get you to give them 100 dirhams to enter. The Hotel itself is sensational and the Manager Fatima and her team are brilliant. The view to the river gorge from the dining room is outstanding .

The ksar is beautiful and takes you back in time.
The ksar is beautiful and takes you back in time. Highly recommend climbing to the top for wonderful views. Had a hearty lunch at Auberge Azaddou Tamlalte which serves delicious tagine as well as spectacular views of the ksar. Would be careful about entering people's homes in the ksar despite warm invitations as they demand money after the house tour without saying anything about it upfront.

The setting is still unique, but due to the total lack of care and maintenance the place will be eroded in a few years. It is just a crumbling background to the fleecing of passing tourist trade. A walk to the top granary is still worth it for the view, but a couple of hours will be more than enough.
This was an oasis away from the chaos of the Kasbah in Ait Ben Haddou. It is under a ten minute drive away and we were so pleased when we walked in. The property is beautiful and the staff could not be nicer or more hospitable. The roof was great to watch the sunset from, the dinner was one of our favorite in our 2 weeks road tripping around Morocco (the lemon olive tajine is to die for). The riad is like a maze where every corner you turn to find a new little outdoor nook to enjoy!
I really liked that there was free parking, the place was clearly marked and easy to find because it is by the main road yet is was quiet at night. The receptionists were extra friendly and served a very abundant breakfast. Price was very reasonable too. Wifi worked well. There was a roof top terrace with a nice view of the kasbah. Fortunately, this hotel did not suffer from the earthquake but some others were not as lucky. Please come here to support the local community.
The hotel is located within easy walking distance to the old Kasbah. Hotel has ample off street parking. Staff were pleasant, cheerful and helpful. Room and bathroom were both a nice size. Bed was comfortable. Food was of a fair standard especially when compared to the restaurants nearby on the main road. Breakfast was good. They have an outside eating terrace as well as a chill area on the other side of the pool.
Very nice hotel close to Ait Ben Haddou. We enjoyed a nice mint tea on arrival and food was nice although was a set 3 course meal which was far too much for us. Nice little walk up the hill at the back of property gave a great view of surroundings and the pool was cool for a dip afterwards. Unfortunately half of our group was unwell so we had to leave without seeing the sights but it didn’t look too far to walk.
Ahmed and Azdine, brothers hosting at their family’s former home are the warmest and loveliest hosts. The food was amazing, the interior atmosphere was magical, the views during the day and at night were spectacular, and it is just ten minutes from Ait Ben Haddou.
Kasbah du Peintre is by far the most magical place I have ever stayed due in large part to these warm-hearted and talented brothers!!!
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect staying inside the walls of a unesco world heritage site, but Kasbah tebi exceeded all expectations. Our room was at the top of a turret, up three flights of candlelit stairs that felt like we were travelling back in time, except with the added comfort of flushing toilets and hot, powerful showers. We woke to the sound of a rooster and explored the ksar at sunrise.
The Riad is gorgeous and our room was comfortable and clean with a beautiful panoramic view. The owner's family welcomed us warmly and prepared for us the best food we have had in Morocco over a two week stay. The chicken tajine deserves a special mention for having an incredible consistency and taste. Don't miss the spectacular city of Ait Ben Haddou, it's just a 10 min drive from the Riad.
Very calm and spacious hotel with a perfect view of the kasbah. The breakfast was great and the beds quite comfortable. The shower takes a while to heat up but once it’s hot it is really nice with great water pressure. The wifi is the best one I have had in Morocco so far. The staff was very welcoming and was always trying to help in any way possible.
We stayed for the night on our way to our desert camp. It was such a delightful surprise. The expansive property is so beautiful, the staff incredibly kind and helpful. The spa and hammam was great. The hotel manager, Eric, delighted our daughter was an impressive card trick at dinner. I highly recommend!
Amazing place walking distance to Ait Ben Haddou. Abdel Jalil was is such a warm and helpful host and made you feel at home the moment you walk in the door. The breakfast was enormous and so delicious! We will definitely stay here again as well as recommending it to all our friends and family.
Beautiful riad-style hotel run by a charming family. Great location 5 minutes away from Ait Ben Haddou, with a picturesque view on another fortified village. Delicious breakfast. Thank you very much Mohammed and Aisha for your hospitality, it was a pleasure to meet you!
We loved our stay here and the stunning aspect. The property is just outside of Ait Ben Haddou looking back into the village and we enjoyed the peacefulness of this. It is just a few minutes drive but you will need your own car or driver.
best view and hospitality money can buy! very close to the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou
great hosts and food too! thank you Yassin and the rest for giving us a wonderful time! 11/10 would recommend
Really nice hotel with clean pretty rooms and a decent restaurant! Good location just a short walk to the historic city. We stopped for one night on a road trip and wish we could have stayed longer!
A beautiful accommodation in a traditional Kasbah. Very clean and a great breakfast. There is a beautiful roof-top terrace with view of Ait Ben Haddou, which is at walking distance from the hotel.
Beautifully decorated rooms, it’s the best location to stay in Ait Ben Haddou. Quiet when all the day tourists are gone. Only 5min climb to see the sunset and sunrise. Very friendly hosts.
