The location is beautiful!! Beach huts are clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!

We sort of stumbled upon this location last minute and what a wonderful surprise. The location was THE BEST ON THE ISLAND in our opinion. In the center of things, businesses very close by and steps from the beach!! Great food (Make sure to try the mango smoothie!) and the owner is so kind, always smiling! Big room, plenty for a family of 4, air conditioning worked well. Get ready for the wind at night but it's so much fun!
I want to give credit where credit is due! I'm grateful to have met Mark and Lizzeth the owners of La Penita! Mark and Lizzeth not only did an amazing job, but she was also pleasant, flexible, professional, fun to sit with and went beyond my expectations in taking care of my needs and wants. I am very hard to please! Their place is a top-notch spot to be! I recommend this to any traveler whether it's business or backpacker they can take care of you!
