Stayed in the twin room for a few nights and enjoyed the stay. The room is quite small but warm, bathroom has hot water in the shower with great pressure. The place is very clean. Great breakfast - continental with cooked eggs. Laundry on site. Good value for money.

We stayed at El Balcon on numerous occasions during our time in Cusco and the staff were so helpful with holding onto our luggage whilst we were away on excursions and the laundry service was great too! We kept choosing to return to El Balcon due to its great authentic feel, with its cosy rooms (always a hot shower) and wood burning stove with breakfast (the pancakes were amazing) it’s in a great location (the views of the city from the top floor were stunning) and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

The staff at reception are incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast is exceptional. There is an incredible range of fruit as well as pancakes, waffles and eggs. The staff were incredible. We had some early morning starts for tours and they provided us with breakfast boxes to go which were great. Overall it’s a fantastic place with great potential but unfortunately we didn’t sleep very well.

The place with most serene porch during my journey through Peru, just sitting there enjoying the Cusco sun was a bliss. But more onto the topic: the personnel has been extremely helpful and accomodating, especially since we arrived prior the official chek-in time, after the night journey with a bus. The room was really nice, though what was surprising: when we opened wooden window frames there was no glass frame (surprising in comparison to our experiences), though it wasn't an obstacle. Since it was chilly - we had in the room a heater, which turned out to be useful:) Generally - highly recommend:)

Regarded as the oldest inhabited city of the Americas and its historical capital, none of these things are enough to describe the magic enchainment and colourful people of Cusco. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, its current shape is the colonial result of building on top of many Incan sites. A good example is the Cathedral of Santo Domingo.
Must see places include the walled complex of ‘Sacsayhuamán’, and the remains of the main temple of ‘Coricancha’, dedicated to the Sun God ‘Inti’. For longer Cusco stays, hotels near ‘Plaza de Armas’ central square are ideal to fully enjoy the city. Due to its 3400-metres altitude, some Cusco hotels offer oxygen to help their guests.
Moray, supposedly an ancient experimental agricultural station, is 46 km away, while the Titicaca Lake is 390 km away. The road to Machu Picchu is the famous Inca Trail or ‘Camino Inca’, which encompasses settlements, different Andean environments, and many Incan ruins.
Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport offers several services to Lima. Arriving at Wanchaq Railway Station or ‘Terminal Terrestre de Cusco’ bus station are also popular choices. Come to visit the ancient jewel, enjoy Peru and Cusco with the hotel deals available on Booking.com!
Cusco is a captivating destination that offers a blend of...
Cusco is a captivating destination that offers a blend of rich history, delicious cuisine, and stunning landscapes. One of the highlights of my trip to Cusco was definitely the ceviche. Served in many restaurants throughout the city, Cusco's ceviche is a delightful explosion of flavors, with fresh fish marinated in citrus juices and accompanied by vibrant herbs and spices. It's a must-try dish for any food enthusiast visiting the region.
Another aspect that impressed me about Cusco was the abundance of fresh produce. Whether strolling through local markets or dining in restaurants, I was constantly amazed by the variety and quality of fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients. The use of fresh, locally sourced products truly enhances the culinary experience in Cusco, adding authenticity and depth to every dish.
Beyond its culinary delights, Cusco is also home to fascinating Inca ruins that offer a glimpse into the ancient civilization that once thrived in the region. Exploring sites such as Sacsayhuamán, Machu Picchu, and Ollantaytambo was a truly awe-inspiring experience. The intricate stonework, breathtaking vistas, and intriguing historical significance of these ruins make them a must-visit for any traveler interested in unraveling the mysteries of the Inca Empire.
Overall, my time in Cusco was filled with unforgettable experiences, from savoring mouthwatering ceviche to marveling at ancient Inca ruins. It's a destination that seamlessly blends cultural heritage, culinary delights, and natural beauty, making it a truly remarkable place to explore.

Getting around Cusco was easy.
Getting around Cusco was easy. We are walkers and we love to see the typical markets and amazing museums. Its people are friendly and helpful. Any question was answered when we just ask anyone around. Restaurants? Mother of God! Delicious, too many options to choose from. From simple restaurants to fancy ones and the best: beautiful women in the street with cooked corn and pineapple slices to sale.

Cusco is one of my favorite cities in Peru.
Cusco is one of my favorite cities in Peru. It is a photographers dream, almost every you look there is a chance to take a wonderful travel photo while walking around, the old city is an absolute joy. No mater how long I have stayed in Cusco it has been too short and I always want to return to see things I have missed. However, it is a good idea to book a hotel which offers heat in the rooms as it can get rather chilly at night in the cold season.

It´s one of the most beatiful cities I've visited.
It´s one of the most beatiful cities I've visited. I love the landscape view, people is very kind and it has a lot of activities to do. I stay in Cusco a very short time, but I enjoy it as much as I could. I visited San Blas viewpoint, the Church and Rainbow Mountain, but my favorite place without no doubt was Machu Picchu.
It’s a beautiful lodging that’s right at the heart of the historic center. I love the decor and the provisions included, nothing was lacking or overdone.
I was able to connect with the hotel via whatsapp before arriving and they arranged for a taxi pickup at the airport to avoid overpriced fees if booking from there. We stayed for only one night but I wished we had used it as a base for the rest of our trip because everything you need (wrt travel around Peru) can be arranged in Cusco.
Laundry, tours, and bag storage are also available.
We selected this hotel as our luxury choice after visiting Machu Picchu. We truly enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable, there was heat and hot water, and the restaurant's food offerings were excellent. One noteworthy point is that Peru Rail limited how much luggage we could take to Machu Picchu Pueblo. The Antigua San Blas hotel helped us by storing our luggage for us before we left for Machu Picchu, so that we could be reunited with our belongings when we returned. We truly appreciated this!
Amazing staff, Joyce who checked us in was amazing and nice our entire stay. Everyone was nice, Joyce just sticks out in my mind because of how helpful and kind she has been.
The most exceptional hotel we stayed at our entire Peru visit. Everything was clean and beautiful. The view is fantastic. The location is fantastic. The breakfast deserves it's own 5 star review as it was the best breakfast we had in all of Peru.
Stay here. They don't charge enough for how exceptional this place is.
The hotel was cute, great view from the terrace.
The location is good, not so far from the main attractions even if the accessibility is medium: the hotel is located in a small street up on the hill and non accessible by car. We had to carry ou luggage ourselves from plaza de San Blas.
The rooms were spacious and the cleaning lady was very nice and helpful, she would ask what we want for breakfast, and keep our room keys when we would go outside.
The locations is excellent, close to the nice area of San Blas. The rooms are very comfortable and views from the restaurant are stunning. However, the absolute best thing about the hotel was the owner, Daniel. He went out of his way to help us with many things during our trip, he also helped us plan different excursions around Cusco. His kind personality and helpfulness definitely made our stay in Cusco memorable and very smooth.
We stayed at Tariq for 5 nights and had an amazing time. Our room was cozy, clean and beautifully decorated. Our favorite part of the hotel was the view from the dining room, one of the best in Cusco! Wonderful neighborhood with the best restaurants and shops in town. San blas is in my opinion the ideal place to stay in Cusco! The staff was kind, professional and patient. Highly recommended Tariq!
The hotel is super cozy/authentic vibes to Peru. Loved the lobby yard/garden/seating area.
Breakfast was good, wish they replenished the items more. All the typical items you'd ask for.
Room was clean and comfortable.
It was within 7-10 minutes to city center and main square of Cusco. Very safe and accessible to all restaurants and shops.
Very nice hotel with great interior. I really enjoyed my stay here, I had a room with a view to the square. Room and bathroom were super clean and they cleaned everyday. Location is also great, San Blas is very pleasant area. They stored my luggage during my trip to MP that was very comfortable.
If someone visited Cleopatra hotel in Luxor, so this one is the same. Iconic and well located 5 min from San Pedro station where you take a ride to Machu Picchu. Breakfast is imperial! One of the best I have ever seen! And hot water was not a problem ( non alike most of hotels in Peru).
The included breakfast (fruits, bread with jam, and eggs) was fantastic. The hotel is perfectly located at the base of San Blas neighborhood and one block from the main plaza. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and price was reasonable. Would recommend to anyone staying in Cusco!
The hotel is situated in the lively neighborhood of San Blas. Very nice patio outside with delightfully decorated rooms. Despite most of the staff does not speak English (only the owner - who was incredibly kind and helpful), all the personnel was very friendly and willing to help.
Nice hotel. Clean, fresh and tidy. Rooms are nice. Warm water and good pressure in the shower. Not far from the San Blas square. Neighbourhood is quiet and safe. Breakfast is brought to the room and they accommodate everyone even if you have early departure for tours (i.e. 4-6am)
We loved our stay at Hotel Los Apus. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is in a great location. San Blas is a beautiful neighborhood with many great restaurants and attractions in close proximity.
Really a great little place right in the heart of Cuzco - near the beautiful San Blas Plaza. If you are looking for a really nice place - but not too expensive - this is really a great place to stay!
Great location in heart of San Blas and the hotel is super cute and there's a nice courtyard in the middle where you can chill and have your breakfast there. All the staff were super nice.
Location was superb
The stuff always helpful and friendly
Price was very good for the location
Not a 5 star if you are looking fue luxury
But a great hotel clean and safe
Breakfast was very nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel allowed me to extend my stay a few times. Great location to explore Cusco centre and San Blas neighbourhood.
Excellent hotel, great staff with a good location to walk around.
It’s a nice and clean hotel with Peruvian atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed.
the staff was excellent; very clean hotel; beautiful bathrooms and rooms. great breakfast and great location; very quiet in safe area of Cusco: San Blas
