The positives were:
1. The staff at the hotel were exceptional. The receptionist was incredibly kind and always greeted us with a warm smile. The cleaning crew did an excellent job maintaining the cleanliness of the rooms.
2. The indoor pool was a great feature, and the fact that it was warm made swimming even more enjoyable. Having a hot shower nearby after swimming was a nice touch. Swimming at night was a wonderful way to relax and relieve stress.
3. The balcony provided a lovely view, adding to the overall ambiance of the stay.

The rooms and the building are great. The indoor swimming pool is an excellent addition if you go there during the cold season.
Also, we ate some great food at the restaurant, and the staff was very friendly.

Being November, it was very warm inside, so the heating and hot water were above expectations. We had breakfast included in the price and it was a la carte but more than ok for a fresh start of the day. The hosts are welcoming. The room is big, however the house needs some renovations as well as the entire area. It's pretty far from the centre, more towards the entrance of the resort.

The town is a strange mix of old and new, and the old is definitely the part worth seeing. One question we needed to answer was: how to try out the thermal waters without paying? The answer is to go to the Hotel Roman in the early morning, and bathe for free in the Cerna river just upstream from it - in the thermal springs and pools there. It's important to go early - in the tourist season at least - because it can get very crowded later, and there are not many places on the rocks to sit or dry your towel. Because it's free, there are no facilities, and no-one seems to clear up the litter. But all of that is made up for by the amazing, healing waters. We felt wonderful for 24 hours!

The place has a ton of potential but it is truly upsetting how in ruins it is, I was expecting at least Baile Tusnad level or Sovata but no, the place was a dump, it was full of stray dogs, no spring baths were functional, but the building were there but none of them renovated or even in the process of it. Also parking was expensive 1.25 EUR an hour? Are you mad? For this dump? I hope to revisit the place when the get themselves together, and renovate the place cause currently it is a dump and there is nothing worth visiting there, only if you wish to appreciate your home town more, but the city as it is, it was a dump.

As far as I'm concerned, there was nothing we can do apart from the indoor pool. No restaurants were opened through the city to have a decent meal after a long drive to get there. The hotel's restaurant served only buffet meals 3 times a day for an extra charge. Though we were not vaccinated, they've made an exception and checked us in (...they would have done anything in order not to refund for your booking)

I loved the hill walking around the town.
I loved the hill walking around the town. I also loved the history of the town but felt a little sad that so much of the grandeur had been left to decay. I know there are several places being 'spruced up' but generally it had a feeling of having seen its better days. I think, with some upkeep, tourists would flock here with the town's spas, history and hills.

This house (No 17,which IS NOT specified in the address on Booking) has a nice garden with flowers, vine and swings. There are tables outside under a vine canopy for having meals. There are also two well equipped kitchens where you can prepare your meals. From the garden you have a beautiful view of the mountains behind the house. Everything is nice in the house and the host is very helpful, nice and friendly. There are thermal pools, shops, big hotels and restaurants 10minutes walk from Bella House.
Comfy beds, super friendly staff, new facilities,
Really nice views from the rooms (we were lucky to get a room on the hotel parking side, with a view to the mountains, we really liked it and definitely recommend this side.)
The pools were heated outside and inside, I think they are available even in winter, at least the jacuzzi outside which was heated.
The breakfast was really delicious, with many things to choose from.
A superb place for rest and relaxation in the mineral pools.
The owners of the hotel are very kind and constantly take care of the guests. Very clean hotel with new furniture. A wonderful view of the river bank and the mountain. The food in the restaurant is very good. The breakfast is very varied, rich and of quality products. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great vacation.
We really enjoyed our stay in Băile Herculane. The hosts were really kind and accommodating, and gave us great recommendations. The bed was really comfortable with super soft sheets, and there was a lovely view of the mountain and lots of cats outside :)
The flat was equipped with everything we needed and a good size. And it was very easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go.
It is a great location, the hotel is very nice and well maintained, the staff friendly, welcoming and helpful all the time. The food is authentic Romanian and made from local products only. The staff organized a Danube boat tour for us and this was just spectacular. The hotel pool is very nice, clean and just perfect to relax... We enjoyed every second of our stay....
We had the triple room, it was spatious.
There is a big balcony around the room.
Staff was kind.
At ground floor there is a quiet dining room/restaurant. We had a nice breakfast on request with ham omelettes, cheese, jam, coffees etc, not included in the room price for ~100ron for 2 adults and a child.
Quite easy to find free parking nearby.
The breakfast was very good, with a lot of alternatives. The room had a mountain view, AC and a small balcony. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was equipped with everything you need. In the evening they had an event on the hotel's terrace like a 90's disco with DJ. The food was excellent and the party atmosphere was great as well.
The apartment was very clean and well equipped with everything needed, even a washing machine. The contact with the owner was very nice. We got instructions on how to enter the apartment, which were easy to follow.
The location is good, there are some small shops in walking distance and also Baile Herculane can be reached by foot.
Good price. They have a working swimming pool. Kids playground which is very nice. Acces to the river Cerna. Spacious yard with a nice lawn, free parking. Barbecue place with everything you need, from a little firewood to tupperware. The place is very nice for family vacations!
Friendly staff, always there to help (they gave us a room where ia would be quiet and more space when they saw us with a baby). The room, the spa facilities, the view, the restaurant and the food.
There are a lot of parking spaces.
It was amazing staying at Vila Geany. Not only were the rooms very clean and spacious, but Miss Lili and her husband were incredibly kind, helpful and easy to talk with :)
The price was cheap and it was near the city center. The room was spacious and it had blinders for the windows. It was spaceous enough for one or two people.
I liked the location, the hotel, the room, the view from the balcony, the food, the thermal water and last but not least the staff, who were very kind.
