Always our number one choice when going to Chopok! Always super clean, rooms very spacious and great equipped, wellness is great, location is the best (you’re right beside the ski lift), and the food is unbelievably amazing, the most delicious in the whole region!!! Staff are so wonderful and helpful, and sometimes the owners are there too and they are also such welcoming and great people always trying make sure your stay is the best possible. We have stayed in many hotels around the world, but there are only a few we always enjoy going back to, and this is one of them!

We ended up staying at sister Hotel Bistrina, which is few steps away and has a spa (didn’t use). I’d expert they both provide same comfort. Room was good,comfortable,clean. Breakfast at the Koliba very good, nice selection. We also dined at the Koliba and enjoyed that. Location is at the beginning of Demanovska Dolina,we used car to get to Jasna because it was already out of high season. During main ski season I would suggest skibus,due to lack of parking possibilities in Jasna.

Demanovska Dolina is a verly long village, so it depends when you are going and what you want to do. If you want to ski all day, I would recommend to find accommodation directly on the slope / under the lift, as otherwise you will have to drive with your car or with a ski bus for 20 - 30 min and you might not even fit in the bus which tends to be full. However, if your aim is not solely skiing, you might want to stay in the village, as the place for walking might be better there than on the slope. The ski area is smaller than in the usual Alpine resorts, but big enough for an intermediate skier. The prices (for the ski-pass, food and drinks) are high for the value you're getting.TereziaSlovakia - 10Scored 10

Demänovská Dolina is a stunning place that I recently visited. It is surrounded by beautiful nature and offers a multitude of opportunities for hiking and exploration. One of the highlights of my stay was the option to take cable cars that led me to the ridges of the hills. From there, I could embark on beautiful hiking trails with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. It was an amazing experience to venture along these adventurous paths. Demänovská Dolina also provides a peaceful and serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. During my walks, I enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings and the sense of tranquility that prevailed.If you're looking for a place where you can truly unwind and discover the wonders of nature, Demänovská Dolina is the right choice. New ski area for mediate level skiers good. Well prepared slopes. Apres ski not great and no supermarket in the area only 12 km drive away. Beautiful nature and great views. Expensive for Slowakia standards (ski passess 65 euro/day, ski rental 40 Euro/day, ski lession 40 euro/per person/per hour). The ski rental shop (the one right next to Happy End bar at the entry to the ski area) was a bit of a con billing us nearly double the rates they publish online and letting us know that only at the end of the trip - claiming the published rates are only relevant if you book online and not at the shop. It felt like home, but in a super place, surrounded by the beautiful Tatra mountains. We recommend this location to all who want to travel with their families or friends to Slovakia. We had a lot of fun in the region, from waterpark to skiing to food, everything was just fantastic. In the chalet you find anything that you want, it was easy for us to quickly adapt to this place. It has a well-equipped kitchen, spacious bedrooms, a perfect big table in the living room for board games. One bedroom has a double bed, the other has two single beds, and there's a family room with its own bathroom/toilet on the second floor, separated by a door. There was a ski holder and a boot dryer. The bedrooms are large, beds are comfortable, and bathrooms are very nice. The kitchen is fully equipped and we cooked and dined in several times. There is TV with Netflix, outdoors playground and indoors family play area. Parking on property is available and easy, washer and dryer including supplies. We've been to many places in our lives, this is definitely number 1.

At 200 meters is the bus station from where you can take the skibus to the ski slopes (10 minutes to the slopes by bus).
