Samed Tamarind Beach Resort, hotel in Ko Samed

Located in Ko Samed, 800 metres from Ao Phai Beach, Samed Tamarind Beach Resort provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

We loved our time at Samed Tamarind Beach Resort so very much - we had a villa with a sea view and it was just marvellous and peaceful. The villas are beautifully designed - with an especially luxurious bathroom! It was relaxing and heavenly. The staff were excellent, and always warm and they helped us with everything like taxis to the pier etc. The food was very good as well. Good breakfast! Samed Tamarind is tucked away in a quiet beautiful beach cove on the island - away from the hustle and bustle from the more popular beaches and shopping areas (all of which are easily accessible, however, should you want to explore, by walking or taxi). The hotel is also very well-equipped and prepared to repel mosquitos and insects and take great care doing so. Even if you aren’t carrying your own bug spray - they provide you with some in the room! You should carry it everywhere especially if you’re there during a wet season.

Peaceful lace to stay with lovely white sand beaches and warm sea which is easy to swim in. Depending on where you stay on the island, (there are lots of small beaches all good, ) will depend on what services are available. since where we stayed had several resorts we ate a a different one each night. Bear in mind though this is an island and all food supplies etc are delivered from the main land so choices are limited. although you can hire a Motorbike we found that the taxi worked well for us we did an island tour by taxi but you can also do it by boast. Most beaches have a taxi station. There is only one village in Koh Samed near the main pier.

Limited attractions unlike some other islands I have visited. Taxis are quite expensive but easy to walk to bars snd restaurants via the beach Beautiful island and wonderful beaches but plastic washed up with the tide every day. Helpful friendly people everywhere. Ferries are very busy especially at weekends.

This is a small island with lots of small beaches, we stayed at one but visited others. We did a half island tour by Taxi. This is a great way to see the other beaches and some of the scenic spots. The taxi costs between 1,000 - 20000 bahts so its best to go as a group to reduce the individual costs/ We also did a boat tour of nearby islands with snorkeling and lunch. Need some energy to keep getting on and off the boat..but a good way to experience the islands. Be aware you have to pay to enter the island as its national park and to visit other islands there is additional cost so hang on to your tickets if you intend to visit other isalnds.

The beaches were beautiful, and water is clear lovely for swimming. The only disappointment was the rubbish you saw away from the resorts as it’s a National Trust island they should use the money they collect from visitors in making it look cleaner.

The island felt too crowded and too empty at the same time... Felt very tourist-y, even compared to Bangkok. More expensive, a lot of people. Even though it is a "small" island, it is not easy to walk anywhere, especially if staying at a hotel further away from busy location. I would recommend Rayong!

It is a beautiful beach and a great atmosphere.

It is a beautiful beach and a great atmosphere. There where a good mix of families, singles couples. The fire show was one of the highlights from my month in Thailand. It was a spur of the moment trip from the Hard Rock where I was staying in Pattaya. A great place to stay by the way. Sunset was amazing, quaint down town area. Just make sure you time getting to ferry or you might have to wait two hours for the next ferry which was very inexpensive. If you do misss it there is a speed boat always available for 1,500 baht.

Excellent location, only 10 steps from the beach. Nice and quiet, stylish rooms, super clean. There's a little shared balcony in the front for a smoke, and a cafe downstairs with great coffee, cakes and a small breakfast menu. The room comes with an umbrella, beach flipflops, beach bag and beach towels. You can use the beach chairs of Lima bar on the beach. We booked for 3 but ended up staying 5 nights. Would 100% recommended this place.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! It was nice that they included breakfast. The business owners on this stretch of the island collaborate well so we were able to get into the sea from the neighbouring hotel (magnificent bioluminescence). The accommodation was right on the beach with a great view. The staff is very thoughtful; they lit mosquito coils outside our door and were flexible with breakfast timings when we were there.

beach is only partly sandy, Half of the beach out and in the water are rocks. Breakfast ist good average. The staff do not have to be excellent. The tourists come just for fun and weekend. transport to and from hotel to ferry is not convenient Access to the hotel through a sandy path the island as such is not to be recommended today. Too much mass tourism and spoilt beauty

The place is just remarkable, for me the best beach of Ko Samed, small compared to the others where tourists are aligned and this is the good thing ! Few people here and almost Thai. Such a thrill to have the beach on your own waking up a little early ! A nice café/restaurant on the beach provides what you will need. A very good masseuse too.

The room is right on the beach which was very nice and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The location is a little bit secluded from the rest of the island but we were able to hire a bike very easily with the hotel and then it was very easy to get around. Walking distance to a lovely sunset viewpoint.

Whilst not on the busiest or best beach on the island, it was quiet, close to the beach and good food options close by. Very helpful staff. Loved the garden and the fact that there were bins and water tubs to wash the sand off after a day on the beach.
