Shirin1892 is a lovely homestay surrounded by idyllic mountains and tea plantations. It's located about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Nuwara Eliya and 10 minute walk to Gregory Lake. The host, Asela is so friendly, helpful and accomodating and told us lots of stories and history about Nuwara Eliya and his family home. Our room was very big and comfortable and we had thick blankets for the colder nights. The home was like stepping back in time and it was so interesting to see the contrast of architecture, decor etc to homes in the rest of Sri Lanka. Thanks again to Asela and his family for a wonderful stay 🙏🏼

We loved everything about this place. The rooms were clean, beds were extremely comfortable, food was great and beatiful bathroom so far our favorite place we stated in Sri Lanka. People who run this place were always making sure everyone was comfortable, had what needed and were happy. Loved our three nights stay here and would definitely return.
