From the moment we arrived at RNV the owner and staff made us feel at home and really went above and beyond. They took us on a tour of the village showing us the best swimming holes. In the evenings we loved being able to sit next to the river with a fire sharing stories. After months in the tourist areas of the south it was nice to slow down and meet local Sri Lankans living their lives. We will definitely come back!

Additionally, the view from the place was incredibly interesting. We were treated to vistas of mountains, paddy fields, and pristine natural environments. It truly felt like a natural and green heaven, offering a serene and calming atmosphere. Staying here felt like a form of meditation, enhancing the relaxation and rejuvenation of our vacation. Breakfast was amazing. Pearl and Ranjan were excellent hosts nothing was too much trouble. They organised a tuk driver for me and Ranjan even came to the train station on my departure. The room was perfect and the bed very comfortable. I would happily recommend this homestay - a perfect retreat.

The lodge had a beautiful and peaceful garden filled with trees, creating a serene atmosphere. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the necessary tools and appliances, including pots, pans, a gas cooker, fridge, and washing machine. The rooms were also nicely arranged and had everything we needed. The bathroom was well-maintained and clean. Overall, it was the best stay we've ever had.
