Everything about our stay at Bois Joli was perfect. The villa is lovely and private, surrounded by jungle. The hosts, Richard and Judith, are so friendly, informative, and prompt. The location on a mountainside adds a sense of adventure and a change of pace from the usual accommodations, and very well placed, especially for exploring the south of Mahé and Victoria. A rental car really is necessary, unless you want to pay a lot for taxis. The design of the grounds, the villa, and the pool are aesthetically pleasing, calming, and done by Richard himself. The villa has everything as described. Very comfortable, I loved the swimming pool and the garden. In the back garden I loved the terrace with the jacuzzi with Mountain View on one side, and sea view on the other side. The kind Lady Maryanne is taking care of everything you need, cleaning, washing clothes, changing bed sheets, providing fresh fruit from the garden. there is nothing we couldn’t ask. Mr. Robert Payet, the owner, must have been the kindest host I’ve ever met. Even though he is living on Praslin, he came over to meet us in person. He let us check in as early as we wanted and check out as late as we wanted without me asking for it. The refrigerator was so full that we didn’t have to go shopping at all. I mentioned we traveled with kids so he made sure there was enough ice cream and pizzas and so on in the refrigerator. I’ve never seen anything like that before. He invited us over at his luxury hotel Le Duc de Praslin for 1 day. He arranged pick up at the airport, gave us a room in his hotel ‘to change our clothes and have a shower before flying back’, we went to the hotel beach and swimming pool, had a very good lunch. As I said, the hospitality of Mr. Robert Payet is beyond any, any expectation. As a pilot, I travel a lot with my family, but I have to say that I have never met a host as friendly, helpful and hospitable as Mr. Robert Payet. This was my second time in Seychelles, and definitely not the last time, but I do know that I will not scroll through Airbnb or booking next time, I know where to go!

The view is spectacular. Definitely recommend to rent a car which you can arrange with Angelle. We had it form the airport. Driving around in seychelles can take time to get used to so going up the hill in the car is definitely a ride. All in all, the house was spacious. Many nights we stayed and cooked, we had all we need. There was a grocery before going up the hill. We stayed with a 2 year old and the crib was very helpful. I appreciated the free fruits as well. Thank you!

What a gem! VI Lodge is tucked away on the beautiful north coast of Mahe. It is very private, with beautiful views and stylishly decorated. Gene left us fresh fruits, bread, eggs & real butter with delicious jams. Also milk, coffee and teas. Comfortable bed, good shower, especially the outside shower was a real treat. A very romantic and cosy stay. Gene & Phil was also very generous in allowing us to stay till the afternoon as our flights were in the evening. Highly recommended accommodation and super host. 10/10 score.

Apart from its location, I enjoyed the private pool in front of the villa. Had spender most of the nights just chilling in the pool with a nice drink! villa clean, and it has everything you need for cooking. Thanks it was a great stay!

Everything was perfect. Villa donated with everything. Rooms are clean and smell fresh. Mrs. Vivienne helped us a lot to explore the island. She provided us with food even tho everything were closed at that time. Also, Mr. Alan such a gentle, kind person. He took us everywhere we want. They deserve a huge thanks :)

Lovely family, drive us to airport in the early morning. Close to a small market. Excellent place to staff near airport, not walkable because of steep hills
