Set in Kirrwiller, Au bonheur des hirondelles offers accommodation with private pool, free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. The gîte was exceptionally clean and very well equipped. Celine, the owner thought of everything from hairdryer to iron, to every kitchen utensil you could possibly need. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom downstairs is spacious with a very good shower. There is a sofa and a dining table, which was comfortable with the air conditioning on as it was very. The baker comes by in a van in the morning and there is a terrace with good seating. We were even invited to try Flammekuchen, a specialty of Alsace.

The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, bed sheets and towels are also provided. We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly. The area is quite, perfect for a relaxing weekend.

We travelled with our 3 young kids and stayed the week. They aboslutely love hanging out with the animals (goats, chickens, horses etc) with the owners and sitting on the grass terrace (south facing with sun all day) for meals and playing sport. We enjoyed hanging out and doing some small trips to the city.

Our experience was beyond splendid, not just because of the fantastic food and hospitality, but also because of their warm personalities. We couldn't resist indulging in their weekend menu, originally planning for just one night. But it was so darn good that we found ourselves craving another round. Thanks to Estelle, who worked her magic to squeeze us in for another delightful meal. Overall I can highly recommend this location!
