The amenities were exceptional, and the house was extremely clean and relaxing. The onsen bath was a really great way to relax. We ended up cancelling our plans so that we could spend the day relaxing at the house instead. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The beds were so soft, and the quality of the bedding, toiletries, and the tea/coffee/ice cream/milk were really high! The owner was exceptionally nice, and he has a restaurant that we went to for dinner. I have dietary requirements, and they went to a huge effort to source ingredients that I could eat and prepared a delicious and extremely well priced meal. Everything about this stay was exceptional!

The host family was very nice and made us a delicious japanese breakfast. Furthermore they made great restaurant recommendations. The house is stylishly furnished and has a beautiful view to the valley and the Aso mountains.

What a delight to stay at this beautiful Japanese style house with an abundance of amazing paintings by the owner. Spacious, cozy and functional rooms as well as the most kind and welcoming host. We would recommend this place to anybody who wants to have a great Japanese experience that really stands out. We would love to come back some time.

The property is well taken care. The owner provided everything we need. All facilities are in good condition. Despite that we do not understand Japanese, the owner has a translation note in English on most of the equipment.
