Everything was clean. The owners left everything we needed for cleaning and washing. We felt so at home in this apartment. Bus stop right outside that runs straight to Funchal center.

East to get place, you need to park outside on the road, as locals do. rooms and bathrooms super clean and astonishing amazing view. we had some barbecue with fish and while we had dinner neighbors played music, so it was just amazing vibe.

I loved the location, the rooms, the interior design, the common areas, the gym/sauna. Absolutely beautiful location on a hillside in the valley with a beautiful view. Offering garden views, Granny's house view is an accommodation situated in Funchal, 3.3 km from Marina do Funchal and 14 km from Girao Cape. Decent location (although 15 minutes from the centre; good for hikes), quite large place with a nice view.

A good location for a stress-free holiday in Fajã da Ovelha, Quinta São Lourenço is a holiday home surrounded by views of the garden. Fantastic location in a tranquil setting. Philippe was an excellent host - met us on arrival and took us on a tour of the whole property which comprises of stand-alone houses and a lovely swimming pool. He gave us lots of tips about hiking in the area and let us enjoy our surroundings in our private home from home. Our daughter loved playing with the two cats who often came to say hi, swimming in the pool at sunset and eating at the nearby restaurant with the best views you could ask for (over Paul Do Mar). The actual accommodation is very comfortable, spacious, quiet, great temperature (we visited in Autumn and were not cold), easy to find with Phillipe's directions and has the best view of a sunset we had ever experienced! The kitchen is huge and there is plenty of space to sit outside on the veranda to enjoy a al fresco dinner for example. Beds are comfortable, everything spotless and in working order . We stayed in the two bedroom house which in reality is two connected houses with two ensuite bathrooms - wish we had invited more people with us to enjoy this fabulous place! We will definitely try to come back one day and bring our family or friends along too. Thank you again Phillipe for your hospitality. Just for information: Public transport on Madeira is really hit and miss - you really do need a car for this location (as is suggested), but in case you don't travel by car (we didn't) there are taxis available in the area. The number 80 Rodoeste bus from Funchal to Santa Moniz travels through Faja da Ovelha a few times a day - you can find the information on their website. It stops at Calheta beach on the way, so we spent the day there (before checking in, in the afternoon) and took a taxi from there to Faja da Ovelha. We also took a taxi to the airport early in the morning - we had prebooked it with the taxi driver who took us from Calheta.

Sonho do Oceano is situated in Ribeira Brava and has a private pool and sea views. Boasting a lift, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The view is incredible. The room is spacious and the pool is nice. The breakfast is very good. I especially liked the little dog that the owners have.

Offering a terrace and mountain view, Casas do Baleeiro - Whaler's Houses is situated in Caniçal, 600 metres from Ribeira do Natal Beach and 22 km from Santana's traditional houses. The location is in the heart of Canical with a grocery store opposite and many shops along the road. It is very close also to the water if you like to swim. The apartment is very modern and well designed and has everything you could need for a self-service apartment. Lovely outside private area too. Very clean. The welcoming owner met us immediately on arrival as we pulled up.

Relax View is situated in Funchal and features a rooftop pool and mountain views. This property offers access to a balcony, pool at the pool table, free private parking and free WiFi. Great spot tucked in the hills with broad expansive views. The common pool/hot tub areas were a nice treat after traveling.
