Summerplace Game Reserve is one of South Africa’s premier mountain biking destinations. Escape to the bush and experience life outdoors. I took my fiancé (then girlfriend) away for the weekend with the intention of proposing. I got in contact with the reserve and told them about my plans and requested them to assist with the set-up. They took us out on a private game drive whilst the staff was preparing a breakfast spot at the view point. Everyone assisted and overshot expectations. Apart from the lengths they went to to make the moment special, the whole weekend was amazing. The staff is exceptionally friendly and one feels at home. I would definitely recommend Summerplace for a weekend break away.

The accommodation is clean, everything you need is available. It’s private and we have really enjoyed our stay. The hosts are fantastic. Summerset Place Country House is set against the foot of the Waterberg and adjacent to a private game reserve. Definitely a great location. Staff members were so kind and helpful all throughout. Had a great time overall. So quiet and peaceful. Would definitely go back forsure.
