I took my fiancé (then girlfriend) away for the weekend with the intention of proposing. I got in contact with the reserve and told them about my plans and requested them to assist with the set-up. They took us out on a private game drive whilst the staff was preparing a breakfast spot at the view point. Everyone assisted and overshot expectations. Apart from the lengths they went to to make the moment special, the whole weekend was amazing. The staff is exceptionally friendly and one feels at home. I would definitely recommend Summerplace for a weekend break away.

Even back up lights that were handy for load shedding! Gardens well looked after and clean. We were able to come and go as we pleased. It is close to Phalaborwa Gate. Secret - The shower head was amazing - made us buy one when we got home!

Tegan and her mum made us feel welcome and the property was perfect. We stayed in one of the bush chalets which was great for 3 people. There was all the kitchen facilities you need and we were able to spend the evening walking around the property freely. It is about 5 mins from a fuel station which has a little shop, so be mindful if you need supplies to bring everything from Hoedspruit. The accommodation is about 45 mins away from Orphen gate (Krueger) which is perfect if you are on your way into the park like us!

Definitely a great location. Staff members were so kind and helpful all throughout. Had a great time overall. So quiet and peaceful. Would definitely go back forsure.
