Alicia è un host eccezionale, ci ha accolto splendidamente nonostante la prenotazione dell'ultimo momento. La casa è perfetta e collocata in uno dei luoghi, a parer mio, più belli di tutta l'isola. La camera/soggiorno è accogliente e ampia e ha dei soffitti molto alti. La cucina e lo spazio esterno sono incantevoli, si respira un'atmosfera autentica e rilassata. È stato bellissimo.

Lovely place and very cozy arrangement with a beautiful view and access for hiking. Perfect spot for relaxing with friends or family. The hosts were very sweet and responsive. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Casa Rural Lomito del Pino for almost 10 days in the first half of January and loved it. The area where it is located (El Juncal) is splendid – a wonderful valley and a very typical village at the end of a nice small road of 3.5 km. The road does not go further than El Juncal. So, it is a very calm place. And the house is an even calmer area, as you have to drive about 500m on a forest track to reach it. The house is nice. Carlos and Carmen, the couple owning it, are not only charming but also very helpful. They offered us delicious vegetables from their garden and gave us very useful advice. There are dozens of great walks you can take, which you can start from the house; no need to take the car. Just one thing: except if you like driving, we suggest you buy food for several days before arriving at Juncal because the closest shops (bakery and others) are in Tejeda – about 14km, which on zigzagging Canarian roads takes a bit of time. We very strongly recommend this address and want to thank again Carlos and Carmen (as well as their adult children – Carla and Nestor) for their warm and friendly welcome.

The location of the house is a quite unusual one as it is down a quite remote valley. However this is actually a big plus if you are looking for something really special. The surrounding is absolutely quiet and peaceful there, the view up to the mountains and further down the valley is very nice and it is easily possible to start nice hiking trips directly from the house. The house itself has a nice verranda and everything was clean to perfection. The owner is very friendly and handed over coffee, chocolates and even a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. The usual spices, vinegar, sugar and coffee preparation equipment is all there, very convenient. Due to the remote location it is necessary to bring your supplies for cooking with you. While there is a supermarked at the village of Tejeda relatively near you may want to bring fresh fish, meat etc. from further down of Gran Canaria where they have the larger supermarkets. The road down the valley is in pretty good condition and can be driven without troubles as long as nobody is afraid of narrow mountain roads with a lot of curves. However,this holds true for all the interior of Gran Canaria. A big and nice surprise was the whirlpool available which allows a relaxing time while you enjoy the view out of the window to the mountains and maybe a glass of (sparkling) wine. Clearly a good place for lovers of a quiet and peaceful place far away from all the noise of modern mass tourism.

Amazing views from the terrace. No need to go anywhere to watch sunsets. The host Victor was very helpful. Be cautious that you need to take steep steps to the accomodation and if you are bringing the luggage, it's a challenge. But amazing host Victor provided quite detailed instructions how to get there. Also, during the winter, it might get chilly, but there are a plenty of electric and gas heaters in the casa.

To obtain the keys, we had to call the reservation phone number, then enter the PIN code into a lock box and unlock the door. Host Pablo arrived shortly after, ensuring that everything was in order. The view is fantastic. We had lunch at the nearby restaurant, La Casa de la Almendra. Roque Nublo is close by. The house is well-equipped; we had everything we needed. Staying here is ideal if you enjoy peace, silence, fresh air, and are willing to sacrifice a bit of hotel comfort for the experience of being in nature and enjoying the view. It's certainly not for everyone, but when we weigh the pros and cons, we are satisfied with our choice, and we will remember this stay!
