I'm not done exploring Medellin. Hopefully I get to go back!
I'm not done exploring Medellin. Hopefully I get to go back! Too many food spots to name, too many local attractions to visit, not enough time to get to them all. Getting around is easy and hassle free with the exception of peak traffic hours but outside of that it's a breeze.

The people in Medellin were very friendly, very helpful and very welcoming. It was worlds better than my experience in Bogota, the people there didn't even want to speak to us. There is also alot more to do in Medellin than Bogota, especially night life related. And Bogota was waaaaay too cold, Medellin was just right. (PS I'm from Jamaica, so I'm use to the heat)

Medellin is great. The public transportation is wonderful.
Medellin is great. The public transportation is wonderful. The people are very friendly and more than happy to assist tourists. The variety and quality of food is outstanding. You have to learn to keep some small coins for beggars or just say no and keep moving or tell them to go away. We felt safe everywhere we went, walking on dark streets at night but we were in Laureles but often off the beaten paths going to local restuarants.

Medellín is very rich in culture.
Medellín is very rich in culture. The locals were very welcoming and informative. I felt very safe there as a black woman. Uber is the best way to get around to any places that aren’t walkable for you. The food is great, my favorite restaurant of my stay was Idílico. Reserve the chefs tasting if you can, you won’t regret it. Book a day trip from Medellin to Guatape through Viator, you will love it. Take a moment to visit Comuna 13. I’ve never seen anything like it. Book an exotic fruit tasting/cocktail class as well. Medellin was definitely a trip to remember!

It was a beautiful city with a lot of green space.
It was a beautiful city with a lot of green space. I really enjoyed the energy and resilience of the people. I did not feel unsafe, not anymore than any other large city. I also stayed smart and watched my bags for pickpockets, which was my biggest concern. I avoided areas and activities that could get me in trouble. The metro was easy to maneuver.

Look very closely the hotel and room you rent to include the amenities.. I have stayed in over 6 different hotels in the range of $60-$87. It was very difficult to find a good hotel that met my basic needs
1- Ac that works, not fans
2- A good breakfast or at least a place to eat close by
3- Security or lighting when returning at night
4- Clean working bathrooms with hot water and knobs that don't fall off
5- No surprises when checking in or out with surprise fees
When you find one like I have stick to that hotel the next visit or go up in price range
Worst hotel ever. This is not a 5 star hotel, it is a 2-3 star hotel. I have traveller around the world and around Colombia but I have never seen such a hotel, claiming to be 5 star. the rooms are very basic, the breakfast is the same as in a 2 star motel, the noise from the hotel’s own disco is awful; the staff is rude and do not care about the people staying at the hotel! stay away from this hotel unless you are 18 years old and want to party all night. The price is for a 5 star, but the service is that of a 2 star. worst hotel in Colombia
Beautiful very unique hotel. It was clean and in an excellent location. The rooms are very comfortable and very cute with everything you need. The bed and the pillows were fabulous. they had the best mini bar and snack bar inside the room that I have ever seen in Colombia. there are restaurants and nightclubs and parks and the SmartFit gym and bars and everything you would ever want within a five or 10 minute walk and there are countless restaurants literally across the street up and down the street. I loved everything about this place.
The hotel is in the heart of El Poblado, possibly one the safest and the trendiest neighbourhood of Medellin. The zone of full of bars, restaurants, clubs, and all sorts of night entertainment.
The hotel itself is quite decent, but with no frills nor thrills. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and they also serve a simple and modest breakfast to get you started. In general, the hotel gives you a fairly good value for money if you want to stay in El Poblado on a budget.
We stayed in one of the suites with a balcony and the room was wonderful. Large and spacious with excellent views of the city. We were able to add another person to the reservation by messaging the hotel and they brought in a real twin size bed into the room for our 3rd friend to sleep in. Pool is beautiful and feels secluded. Breakfast buffet is outstanding and offers a wide variety of hot and cold options and traditional Colombian favorites. Would stay here again!
What a lovely, luxury, extremely comfortabel place this gem is in the right neighbourhood of Medellin. Yes you pay a little mas, but you get mucho mas. Bed:super large & comfy. Bedroom ánd livingroom both have tv’s with any possible channel (Netflix, hbo etc). Kitchen: all the necessities to stay in. Pool, steam bath, sauna, gym! Best of all: the room has a new washing/drying machine with a bottle of detergent next to it. What a place to end your Colombia trip ❤️
Sites was by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in all of Colombia. All rooms are equipped with full kitchen, living room, and stunning views. Access to jacuzzi, gym, steam room, and bbq. Sites is situated in an ideal neighborhood in El Poblado, near to everything you’ll need. The staff is extremely attentive, and would like to thank Rosendo Espinoza as he was absolutely amazing! Definitely returning this this hotel on my next trip back to Medellin. 10/10!
This is a pleasant place to stay. It is very simple and basic. There is nothing that makes it above average other than the employees are very nice. The food offered at the restaurant is fresh and simple but taste good. It is your regular Colombian fare. Breakfasts could be better and portions could be a little larger. However it is OK for the price. This is a hotel for locals or foreigners that do not mind a average understated stay.
Very pretty place and super friendly, helpful staff. I initially booked this guest house, I arrived in the early afternoon and heard construction sounds near my room. When I asked for a quieter room they offered to relocate to the nearby luum boutique hotel. It was equally nice, friendly and comfortable, and much quieter. Slept very well and one of the best arepas con huevos I had in Colombia :)
We liked everything about this place. Room was super comfortable. The hot water shower was the best we had in Colombia so far. The included breakfast was above average. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The hotel includes secured parking and the neighborhood in Laureles was very nice and walkable with many restaurants around. Would highly recommend .
Nice, pretty room. Great shower.
The pool on top off the hotel was a nice extra. The pool is open untill 9 p.m.
In the hotel was a restaurant 'Smash' where you could have a good breakfast and nice snacks for a reasonable amount of money.
About 10-15 min walking to metro station 'el Poblado'.
Definitly would recommend to stay here if you're in Medellìn
The property was in excellent condition. ALL staff were very attentive and friendly! Angelica, Jose, Camila and Damalier were soooo accommodating!!! As well as the rest of the staff. It is very close to El Poblado and seemed like a safe neighborhood. I would highly recommend this hotel and would go back on my next trip to Medellin.
The staff was very friendly and professional. The place clean and comfortable. There was a couple of restaurants right next to the hotel (Peruvian & Colombian food). There was a Smartfit right below the the hotel. Although the hotel did have a decent gym on the 8th floor of the hotel. Breakfast was good and had a good variety.
Great breakfast, continental and Colombian food. Very friendly personnel: reception, cleaning lady, restaurant. The room is great, very good bed, bathroom a bit small but quite OK.
They are renovating the hotel at the moment, the Jacuzzi was out of order, but when it is back in business, it is a great place!
Location is awesome! Very safe neighborhood; close to everything with Colombia's dirt-cheap Ubers. It's a mix between an apartment and a hotel (hence the name!), and it combines the customer service aspect of a hotel with the privacy of an apartment. Host is awesome too! She's very friendly and helpful.
Friendly and polite bilingual stuff, spotless clean, at the center of El Poblado close to everything.
Breakfast was very nice with many fresh fruits, egg choices and Colombian coffee.
Will definitely rebook when i ll be back to Medellin. Muchas gracias for everything, you made my stay amazing x
In a busy and party city like Medellin and El Poblado, this hotel is located in a quiet area where you can actually rest and don't hear music. The staff is really nice and I enjoyed their amazing breakfast. Modern and comfortable rooms.
Perfect location where all the excitement is in El Poblado Medellin. Very nice spacious rooms, hot water, great breakfast, friendly staff. Didn't have a microwave though. I will go back to this hotel without a doubt.
Everything was fine at Rangohostel. We wtayed there 2 nights to dicover Medellin during our recent trip to Colombia. The breakfast is really good and all the staff was really helpful!
The rooftop pool had great views and the staff there were great. Breakfast was the best that we had in Colombia at a hotel. The rooms were spacious and very new.
