Location and price great. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us all. Meals were substantial and drinks were reasonable for hotel prices. Our dogs were welcomed and we felt looked after. We were able to all eat together in the evening and at breakfast. Breakfast especially, we were catered for exceptionally well.
On the banks of Loch Lomond in the magnificent Queen Elizabeth Forest, this hotel has spectacular views of Ben Lomond, the loch and mountains to the north. Rowardennan Hotel is accessible, yet remote....

Very conveniently located in a beautiful setting alongside Loch Lomond. Breakfasts were served buffet style but also with a full cooked breakfast included and in a pleasant room overlooking the loch. Food was delicious. Initially booked into a room with a rain leak from the ceiling onto the internal window sill but staff were able to book me into a change of room for the three nights and this room was a slight upgrade, comfortable and with all facilities provided. Very satisfactory stay.
Location was absolutely stunning, lodge had great facilities, everything we needed for a relaxing evening together. Darren could not have been a more helpful host. We had walked from Balmaha that day and just missed the last ferry across to Ardlui. Darren went down to the ferry terminal to ask them to come back over and collect us and they did! Also upon seeing how exhausted we all were, he then went and collected our bags from the hotel. Would highly recommend staying, and a huge thank you to Darren
Lovely setting at the top end of Loch Lomond. It's not a big flashy hotel but everything was there that was needed for myself and sister. Enjoyed the evening meal. Nice comfy bed with pullout sofa in room. very handy for travelling north with easy parking. The Drover Inn further up the road was fascinating, well worth a walk around.
Large room, modern bathroom, excellent food at the restaurant. Staff went above and beyond to help, especially Reina. Lovely beer garden. Looks like a good base for walking trails accessible by boat.
Ardlui is convenient for both walkers doing the West Highland Way and drivers on the NC500. The room was comfortable and clean, with good food in the bar/restaurant. The location is beautiful.
Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed a delicious meal after arrival in the evening, and a fabulous breakfast before setting off for the next leg of our West Highland Way walk.
Lovely location with free parking. Great view from room 25, Be aware that hotel has no lift and our room was up 2 flights of stairs. Not a problem for us but maybe for others. Nice breakfast.
Stunning location!!!! Darren, the host, was so welcoming and attentive. Lodge was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Very comfy beds. Lovely food at the Ardlui hotel restaurant.
Great staff, great service. Very comfortable room and high standard of hotel facilities. As a walker doing the West Highland Way, the ferry service was invaluable.
What a cute hotel. I loved my room it was a bit more spacious than my other accommodations so far. The dinner was fantastic and the bar was cozy and inviting.
A well located hotel at the very northern end of Loch Lomond with beautiful views. The staff were very attentive and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
