The Fontenay Hamburg is a 5-star hotel situated on the shore of the Alster Lake in Hamburg, within walking distance of the famous shopping area at Jungfernstieg. Great location, beautiful rooms, we enjoyed the pool with the nice view. Breakfast was really superb as well, and all the staff were very professional, friendly and super helpful.

I had a wonderful experience. The staff is fantastic - so generous, kind, and friendly. The room was quiet, pleasant, and extremely clean. The location is great - there's a stunning park just a few minutes from the hotel that you can also use for sports or simply to read a book. In general, it's an area that feels pleasant and comfortable even during late hours.

My hotel room was bright and clean. So too the breakfast room. The location, close to the train station, is very convenient and the neighbourhood very pleasant. The staff, as well, were all very pleasant. The university is close by, so shops and services such as reasonably priced restaurants and a laundromat were within reasonable walking distance.
