Television was spanking new, loads of channels to my surprise, and the location was defined by Historic Buildings Churches and a Huge Botanical Garten, Unsere Kinder und die Mutti, (that is; my partner and child, wait..children. Meine Gott (My God) was like being somewhere in Europe. The Weather, although the Leisure Lodge could not control that, perhaps because of location, was exceptional. We visited in Dec-April, but will be returning for the Ski Season at Hawea, or is it Haumea. Sank you Sank you Leisure Lodge, we plan to come again, and again, and again!

Staff were extremely helpful and accommodation was well located about 15min walk from the Octagon or the stadium. Room was comfortable and warm with great selection of Sports options on the TV channels and wifi included.

Beechwood Motel offers self-catering accommodation with free onsite parking, only 5 minutes’ drive from the centre of Dunedin. The owners are really lovely and gave good suggestions not only for in town/on the peninsula, but for my onward travel. The room is a bit small, but there is so much functionality packed in without anything feeling cramped, with a fully functional kitchenette, desk area, and bathroom. The mural is a fun plus.

Staff were incredibly good with communication and ensuring we were well equipped to arrive as smoothly as possible. The thorough instructions were extremely helpful and the staff were great at expressing their availability but leaving us to our stay otherwise. The property itself was the perfect wee place for us as a couple, super cozy, modern and self contained. There were many features that made this property stand out from others - such as the full kitchen, a washer dryer, very good heat pump and many streaming services on the TV. It felt like a home away from home!
