In the popular historic suburb of Gardens, at the foot of Table Mountain, and just south of the city centre, the ideally located SunSquare Cape Town Gardens hotel is perfectly positioned for exploring... very welcome staff, breakfast perfect , dinner perfect , room is very clean, very great value for the price .. location is perfect to visit everything in cap town.

Chad was a wonderful and very helpful host, the breakfast was freshly cooked, and plenty of coffee provided. The location of the house was excellent, within a short uber drive to the city centre, which could also be easily reached on foot. We would sometimes walk down there, and used uber to come back (the cost is 50-70 rands).

Dirk was very attentive to ensure that my stay was smooth, and I appreciated their flexibility in settling the payment issue due to problems faced with my credit card. The location is perfect since you can see the iconic table mountain from your room. And yes, the smooth jazz music played at the lounge while having my breakfast made my stay particularly special.

Will never forget arriving from the UK winter… The personal welcome and the feeling of being guests rather than just another room number… loved the utterly charming period house, and our room which had a balcony overlooking the city and views beyond. Homely, relaxing, with lovely garden with plenty of space to chill with a glass of wine after days out and about. We felt we could not have been in a better location: Oranjezicht, a relatively peaceful and beautiful setting, right at the foot of Table Mountain yet within an easy and cheap 10 min cab ride from the V&A and Camps Bay. If you prefer this kind of set up to being in the thick of the busy/hyped up tourist zones and can get a room then look no further! Huge thanks to Maaike and her wonderful team. You made our time in Cape Town extra special.
