This tent features air conditioning, tea-and-coffee making facilities and en suite bathroom. Frontier River Resort ligger i Sydafrika, 6 km från Vioolsdrift som gränsar till Namibia. The grounds and luxury tents were in a nice setting with a lot of seasonal planting upgrades, like their own orange grove, that I would love to return to see in the future. Because the facility is on a hillside, owners were concerned with my walking with a crutch but I managed well. Really enjoyed falling asleep with the tent flaps open so I could look at stars, wake to first sun light and bird song. Everything from bedding to towels and toiletries made me feel like I was in a luxury spa. I really enjoyed the owners young son who was concerned about compression wraps on my legs. He sat me in a chair in front of the tent, went and got my book and kept me entertained until my husband came back from his walk. Such a big heart, full of compassion, in such a small body.

The fireplace is a top feature of this tent. The tent's kitchen, which has a refrigerator and a microwave, is available for cooking and storing food. Extremely nice campsite, everything is there and in very good conditions.

Grunau Country Hotel i Grünau erbjuder 2-stjärnigt boende med en utomhuspool, en trädgård och en bar. Det finns en lekplats och gäster har tillgång till gratis WiFi och gratis privat parkering. The small, simple room was very clean (and so were the shared toilets/showers). The hotel has made an effort to make the place homey with a bit of decor inside the room and plants/decor throughout the property.. The wind and cold were fierce during our stay, so we were very grateful to have a good heater in our room (and they provide enough blankets). While the WIFI is only available in the reception/bar/restaurant area, it works well. Good to have a reasonably priced restaurant on site, as there are few eating options in Grunau (you can order your meals ahead to be ready at a certain time). We stayed for two nights while visiting Fish River Canyon as it is much more affordable than the places in/nearer the park (unless you are camping).

Torgos Safari Lodge ligger vid den torra floden Auob, cirka 5 km från gränsen mellan Mata och Mata. Här erbjuds en utomhuspool, en restaurang och möjlighet att titta på djurlivet. A hidden jewel situated near the border with South Africa and proved to be an oasis for the traveller. A place to be quiet, rest and be pampered by caring and efficient staff. We have and will continue to recommend the Lodge.
