This stay was one of our favourites of our entire trip. The host was so generous and kind. Upon hearing of my partner's leg injury, she surprised us with a special tea to help promote healing. We loved the space and the attention to detail was fantastic. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. The host customized the breakfast based on a couple conversations we had. Everything was delicious, and we were even given a detailed list, in English, of everything she prepared for us. The breakfasts at this stay were a highlight of our entire trip to Japan. We will definitely try to stay here again when we're back in Kyoto!

The perfect stay! The place is wonderful and looks as a typical Japanese house. The owners are incredibly kind, they welcomed me in the best way ever, explaining me everything about the stay and giving me tips about the city of Kyoto. They can speak many languages as Japanese, English, Italian, Spanish and probably more so the communication wouldn’t be a problem for you. The hotel is located in a very quite are of the city just outside the city-center so perfect to sleep in a white place but also well connected with the touristic areas with buses. The common area is just amazing, about cleaning is perfect and the structure is very technological! If I’ll be back to Kyoto, sure I’ll stay here again, I recommend 100%. everything! the guy at the reception is the kindest! the guesthouse is clean and cozy! I totally recommend it! I had a private room with futon and the bathroom was shared, but bathrooms are so clean that it wasn’t a problem at all! Also there’s everything you need, towels, soap, shampoo etc. there are also some snacks in the common room:) last thing, position is great as well!

My first impression of this place is the warm welcome from the host, and the traditional room is quite unique meanwhile equipped with all the things you need for a long stay.Not only tidy but also has great soundproofing.Strongly recommend to the visiters who want to have fantastic experience in Kyoto.

This hotel was amazing - perfect location, in the heart of Gion. Small hotel so felt very private, the bed and pillows were so comfy I was sad to leave! The hotel staff were very lovely - highly recommend and would definitely return!! Ps the rooftop view is amazing!
