It was really close to the Barmbek station and very safe to walk to, the self check-in was really easy. I didn’t use any of the common facilities, but the room was nicely decorated and had all the amenities. There was also an option online to request the change of towels and throw out the trash which I didn’t use because of my short stay, thus I don’t know how that would work but it was a nice touch. I can see how people who are not used to the sound of trains could find the presence of the train tracks nearby a problem. My room was on the 3rd floor facing the train tracks directly and I didn’t consider the sound unbearable, in fact, I barely heard it. The gentleman I had to call in the early Sunday morning to unlock the front gate for me was really nice and helpful.

Pension King Royal está muy bien situado en el barrio de Altona-Altstadt, Hamburgo, a menos de 1 km de Puerto de Hamburgo, a 14 min a pie de Muelles de St. Great spacious apartment for reasonable price, easy communication with the super nice host Ronny, bedrooms are not directed to the Reeperbahn so that the noise levels are very low and falling asleep was not an issue, however you can be close to the action of you like to, in close proximity to the subway station to reach everything in Hamburg in just a few minutes, we received discount vouchers for the Kiezbäckerei which is a very recommended bakery!
