Roost Hill Guest House - Free Parking har ett perfekt läge i området Prestonfield i Edinburgh, 2 km från Arthur's Seat, 2,8 km från University of Edinburgh och 2,9 km från Royal Mile. Really clear advance info from Alia on access to Roost Hill, buses etc. She was super-helpful & kind during the stay, with prompt replies to queries. Spotless room, with careful, creative attention to making it attractive, welcoming & comfortable. Shower room well designed in a compact space. Plenty of tea/coffee on the hospitality tray with extras available on a help yourself basis. Excellent value for money & the room is smarter than many that charge more! We were in Edinburgh for The Fringe & usually stay in the city centre but prices were so high this year we chose to stay a little further out & use the bus. Roost Hill was in a fantastic location for this - the no 33 bus is so close by it was as easy as being further into the city, & it runs 3x per hour, is reliable & tickets are only £2 a single for any distance, it seemed. The location was great for the city centre, & the hospitality & presentation of Roost Hill were excellent. We were able to leave bags safely when we arrived very early, & leave them securely at the end of our stay & return to collect them later so it was very convenient. Alia is doing a great job at Roost Hill - thank you!

The Hedges ligger idealiskt beläget i centrala Edinburgh och erbjuder en trädgård, gratis WiFi och en terrass. We enjoyed our stay at The Hedges. Paul and Yvonne were very friendly and responsive, and provided all the information we asked for, as well as some extra tips about the city. The room was very clean and comfortable. We also appreciated the little Scottish extras (whisky and shortbread) that were waiting in our room! We were able to store our luggage at the property as our flight only left in the evening, which was also appreciated.

Chris and Sinead were incredible hosts and made us feel at home from check-in. The breakfast each morning was something we looked forward to each day. It was restaurant quality (wife asked for a recipe) and the soft background music (personal note here) was spot on. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The property is located near a bus stop, so getting around isn’t an issue. Lastly, it’s a 2 minute (max) skip down to the beach. It’s one block away.

It was more than we ever expected … gorgeous property & accomodation . Very comfortable . A quiet retreat if you want to just relax & reflect . Close to Edinburgh ( 20 minute train ride ) for a day trip from Glenarch House . Would recommend the train to Waverley station in Edinburgh . It’s a self catering property , so will need to work out meals for yourselves . Morrisons ( a supermarket) is relatively close for grocery shopping .
