The guest house is just beautiful and extremely clean. The staff was so nice and super helpful with anything. They prepare the freshest and best Indonesian breakfast! Everything was a blast! Would definitely always stay there again. They even let me have a late check out due to my super late train departure.

Located just 1.2 km from Sultan's Palace, Griya Asih provides accommodation in Yogyakarta with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. The best place I have ever stayed. The room is super clean. Cleaner than my own house. The building is very beautiful, as well as the decoration inside. Staff are really nice and helpful; I saw some comment of whom stayed here before said that they not really speak english, but they are good at it, they speak english, at least we understand each other 😁. The breakfast is not vary. But it is enough; there are choices of continental breakfast and vegan option, fresh juice and fresh fruits. You can also mix. This place might far for the centre but it is walkable to Jl. Prawirotaman and Jl. Parangtritis where you can find a lot of good place to eat. We walked; it took us almost half an hour 🤣There are also a local night market 2 min walk. The gate will be lock at 11pm, if you are going to be late at night, you need to let them know before you leave. The door to the building is always locked, just knock the door they will be right there 😁 Please see the pictures. This place is worth every rupaih I have paid for.

Snooze in Yogyakarta provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. The air-conditioned accommodation is 600 metres from Sultan's Palace. I have not been in a more cute and beautiful hotel than Snozze's! The atmosphere of the hotel and the girls is absolutely unique and a must experience! The room is very nice and clean, the breakfasts are fantastic and freshly served (always 2 options sweet and savory) and chilling in the garden and stunning flower jungle is a must do here! Plus it's 2min to street food, 10-15min from the centre. As a bonus - we managed to book a car for a 1 day trip with locals which was very helpful. Thank you for doing what you do!

"NOMORE" Gallery and Guesthouse is situated in the Kraton district of Yogyakarta, less than 1 km from Museum Sonobudoyo, a 13-minute walk from Fort Vredeburg and less than 1 km from Yogyakarta... Lala and Rolly were really lovely and helpful! Also delicious breakfast and very nice coffee.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of mountain, Blue Garden Yogyakarta is a recently renovated guest house located in Yogyakarta, 11 km from Museum Sonobudoyo. If you have to work at ISI Yogya it is a great place to stay. Located within rice fields the rooms situated along a very nice garden provide a perfect place to prepare and relax. The nice pool looks exceptionally well kept and invites to take a dip.

Ndalem Suryo Saptono Guest House is situated in Yogyakarta, 2.7 km from Yogyakarta Tugu Train Station, 3.1 km from Tugu Monument, as well as 3.1 km from Malioboro Mall. Very impressed with the architectural style of the room, the carved wooden door ( a masterpiece). Good attention to details, although a 2 star accomodation, we had better facilities than a 3 star hotel. The owner values his guests, a lot of resting areas in the courtyard, a fridge with juice and beers to cool down were expecting us upon our arrival. Good breakfast ( we were asked what we prefere to eat). The singing birds were the main attraction for the kids. After some bad nights spent in horrible guesthouses, this one came like a very nice surprise.

This is an amazing place if you want to immerse yourself into local culture. The host family was extremely helpful and provided me with lots of local experiences and ideas. If possible ask the host to help you with a ride to the airport or your next destination. I did and he was more of a local tour than transport. Can’t recommend this family enough.

ViaVia Guesthouse is located in Yogyakarta, a 15-minute drive from the lively Malioboro shopping street and Yogyakarta Palace. It features free internet, a café and rooms with modern décor. The highlight of this place are the people who work there. All the girls and guys at the reception are kind, smiling and ready to help with anything you ask (I needed to visit a dentist for a broken tooth when I was there...). They speak good English. The second highlight is the garden, with beautiful plants and cozy seating, and a pool if you want to cool down. Breakfast is not included with the dorm bed, it's Rp 35k (sweet toast or omellette), included if you book a private room. If you are leaving early like we did for Borobudur, they will get up at 5am to make you a fresh breakfast to take with you. Coffee and tea is available the whole day, as well as water refill. The shower has warm water. There are also kitchen utensils, plates/cups if you want to prepare your own food. Book early, it is a popular place. I wanted to extend and they were booked, had to find another place nearby for my last night in Jogja. But the reception girls told me I can still come by to hang out in the garden, which I did! Great place.
