I so so so enjoyed my stay! I never really write reviews, but this time I said I would do it as I liked it so much. the staff and the family are incredibly kind, the rooms have a good size and the bathroom is en-suite, with an extra shower option out of the room as well. the wi-fi internet is fast and the kitchen is amazing. my favourite place in Brazil so far!

I really really recommend staying at hostel papagaio. It immediately felt like home, it is a very intimate hostel and the owners are just great hosts. It’s super clean and the common area feels like a living room, the kitchen is perfectly equipped and there is free coffee and if you are lucky snacks. I wouldn’t have left if I didn’t have to! Thank you so much for the amazing stay <3

Staff was very kind and helpful. They were quick to help with organizing a transfer back to Rio de Janeiro. The hostel is well located; it is close enough to the restaurants and (few) bars, but far enough to have peace and quiet.

The owner is a sweetheart, he definitely made the stay very special! The hostel is basic, very clean, kitchen with lots of equipment. I would come back 10000%!
