Less than 5 minutes’ walk from the centre of Penrith, Wayfarers Independent Hostel provides comfortable accommodation to Lake District visitors. By far the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. so beautiful aswell, the staff is amazing and the location is quiet but everything’s easy to reach from here. The stay could not have been better!

Surrounded by lovely greenery in the heart of vibrant Keswick centre, YHA Keswick is just a 10-minute walk from Lake Derwentwater. It features a restaurant and self-catering kitchen. Location was amazing. Rushing water right at the front door. Could sit and watch it all day. Lots of nice places to sit watching the water rush past while you enjoyed a coffee or wine. Rooms comfortable and shared bathrooms were new, close by and kept very clean. Kitchen was large and easy to navigate with other people staying there.

Set in a stunning Regency mansion overlooking Esthwaite Water, YHA Hawkshead stands within beautiful grounds just a mile from Hawkshead village. Very comfortable, convenient, beautiful scenery. Would recommend.

The YHA Ambleside sits on the shores of Lake Windermere in the Lake District. It offers a range of budget accommodation and a café serving local food. Staff is very polite and friendly. Asked them to take early breakfast since we needed to be on our way early morning, and they prepare for us breakfast for take away with message that made my day! Place is very nice and location is nice. I hope i will come back next time! I would like to thank them!

Located in the market town of Keswick in the heart of the Lake District National Park, Denton House Hostel is just a 5-minute stroll from Keswick Leisure Centre. The whole place has been freshened up, looks great. Good showers, building is clean and tidy. Great staff, very accommodating.

Located in Thirlmere, Fisher-gill Camping Barn offers free onsite parking and a terrace. I had the most wonderful time here! The surrounding area is gorgeous, and coming back to a crackling woodfire and a hot water bottle after having been out on a hike is the perfect end to a day spent exploring! The owner was very kind and helpful, and the camping barn had everything I could have asked for (and more!): a hot shower (coin operated, 1 pound gets you 50' of hot water), maps of the area, comfortable beds, a fireplace and some wood already prepared, fully equipped kitchen, and even hot water bottles!

With a central location 4 minutes’ drive from the train station, Kirkby Stephen Hostel lies between Cumbria’s Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The hostel in beautiful, and the girl room has a toilet inside which is very useful if you don't want to go out of the room at night. The staff is very kind and helpful :) the kitchen is pretty and well equipped and the common area is really spacious

Nestled in the Cumbrian countryside in the Lake District National Park, The White Horse Inn and Bunkhouse offers dormitory rooms, free parking, free Wi-Fi in public areas and a pub restaurant. Easy to get to! Location is one of the best.
