Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. Hostel smell great. Reception was friendly and could speak fluent English. Shared space like bathroom, toilet & kitchen were very clean. Air conditioning was great!

The staff was really friendly, they offered tips on what to see around the area, and made an effort to make small talk with me in japanese even though I only speak the language a little. There's a rooftop with amazing views of mount Fuji where you can relax and enjoy your meals/drinks, and you can rent their foldable bikes for free to visit the surrounding lakes.... Oh, and did I mention the free snacks? You get free snacks... Everything was amazing :)

The host, who speaks super good english, was super kind and always ready to help or give recommendations for activities nearby. He took me at the station and brought me back the last day. Everything was particularly very clean. I definitely recommend if you're staying at Fuji !

Machiko provided the most comfortable stay and she is a wonderful host. She prides herself on keeping the hostel super clean. The location is central to everything, 15-20 minutes walk to Fuji viewing spots and close to convenient stores.

The bathroom and toilet are shared and very clean.

Dot Hostel&Bar 富士山 is located in Fujikawaguchiko. With a shared lounge, the property also has a bar. American breakfast is available. the room was spacious, we were pleasantly surprised. they even saved us with their food menu, when no restaurants in 1km diameter was open in the evening.
