Excellent place to stay. nice breakfast (they’ve started including breakfast in their stay for free). Dorms and private rooms have great AC (although don’t expect an eskimo room when it’s the middle of summer, the ACs across Zanzibar take a beating then). This is a chilled hostel with a stunning pool area where you can relax and read a book. It is NOT a party hostel, which is exactly what I was looking for. Mohammed (the host/owner) is a really nice guy and goes out of his way to make his guests feel welcome and helps with booking activities and rides to anywhere on the island. About 95% of the guests, including myself, extended their stay.

There is kitchen for us to use, completes with everything, pans, plates, etc…they also have wine glasses too! Simple things, but those made my stay more enjoyable.

The rooms were clean, the location is amazing, less then a minute from the beach. The staff was super friendly, and the food was delicious with nice portions and at good price. A lot of people visit this place, so you can meet cool people from different part of the world. Everything can be organized from here, so you don't have to do it by yourself. Excursions, taxis, parties... all you need is to ask at the bar.

Location is great - in the centre of the old town of Stone Town - short walk to everywhere including the ferry port. Has a decent kitchen, dorms are decent size, good bedding and clean bathrooms. all in a great place to stay with nice helpful staff

A place ideal for relaxation
