Current update on the pool situation: Due to the severe drought, the governments have enforced all 75000 pools on the Costa del Sol to remain closed until 1st June. After this point they are allowed to filled, industrially cleaned and reopen. HOWEVER, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO STRESS THAT THIS IS NOT TO SAY THAT 75000 POOLS WILL REOPEN ON THIS DATE. THESE POOL HAVE BEEN FORCED TO SHUT FOR MONTHS WITHOUT CLEANING AND MAINTENTANCE AND WILL THEREFORE NEED TIME FOR THEM TO BE PREPARED TO REOPEN, WITH EVERY COMMUNITY WANTING THEM TO REOPEN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND ONLY A LIMITED AMOUT OF SWIMMING POOL COMPANIES. WE THEREFORE CAN NOT GUARENTEE WHAT DATE THEY WILL REOPEN AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME. Hopefully this will be sooner rather than later, and our listings will updated accordingly. The community is beautifully maintained and of a traditional Spanish style. There is a good sized swimming pool, surrounded by grass and vegetation. There are also a limited amount of sunbeds and umbrellas. The tennis court seen from the terrace is also part of the community which guests are free to use. There is community parking at the entrance of the urbanization which is separated by an electric gate from the road. At the other end of the urbanization is a separate gate providing access to Toremuelle train station which provides links to Malaga and Fuengirola, and everywhere in between (including the airport!) Malaga airport is a 20 minute drive. The Mercadona supermarket is approximately a kilometre away and accessible in under 5 minutes by car. Arkwrights international supermarket is a 10 minute walk. There are a variety of restaurants close by in both directions including the exclusive Trocadero Benalmadena. The internationally renowned Torrequebrada Golf Course is a 5 minute drive away. The award winning Puerto Marina Benalmadena is under 15 minutes by car.
