Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. everything was amazing to the lovely manager John who helped us book or shuttles and activities to our lovely breakfast, where we saw birds including parrots and hummingbirds. we had an amazing server at the restaurant named emando who served us every morning. we got our breakfast super fast and was always delicious!! I would always recommend this stay to anyone and I’m definitely coming back to this hotel/lodge next time I’m in la fortuna! the room was super big and clean! we had fresh coffee and coffee maker in our room! new towels and cleaning was provided very day! I loved this stay and can’t wait to go back! thank you again to all the lovely staff you rock!

Also unexpectedly good was the included free frog spotting tour. Even though the chalets were rather tiny they felt spacious and were indeed very private. This is definitely no 5-Star Hotel but as best as eco-friendly individual tourism could get.

My partner and I stayed 4 nights at Cecropia ecolodge and absolutely loved our stay. Jay and Nohelia are amazing caring people. It really shows how much they thrive living at their lovely place and sharing it with their guests. Jay does an awesome guided night tour and we were lucky enough to see a lot of wildlife. Nohelia cooks delicious meals. I had a bad stomach the day I arrived and they were kind enough to make some organic tea from plants grown on the property - super tasty and helpful. The nearest airport is Fortuna, 21 km from Las Pavitas Cottages, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Breathtaking views from the house and very well managed. The house was clean and has all the necessary things required for family. We had to cancel our sight seeing plans just to stay in the house and enjoy the vibe. Highly recommended.

The owner even offered to pick us up (given the fact that the lodge is a little hard to reach by public transport). The location of the room is right on the river. Open-air toilet and shower for some extra jungle fever. Room is spacious and impeccable, with AC and fridge, and a view on the river. The food is also great. They put out some bananas every day near the viewing platforms to attract a wide variety of birds (even toucans). They also offer great tours (river tours, kayak, walking tours, etc)

Wendy our cacao educator and teacher for chocolate making was amazing. David the tour guide was great. The kitchen staff was so nice and food farm fresh was delicious. The chocolate samples and cacao sugar pods were great and learning both the process of how the cacao is grown, how processed and how to make chocolate bars was amazing. The fresh cacao hot chocolate or cold chocolate was so good. We purchased the cacao powder, and our bars were wrapped so beautifully and the pulpo (cacao juice) was great. All farm staff amazing and the accommodations so beautiful. Will return and recommend highly.
