The rooms were flooded with light, with some really nice touches - complimentary cheese & biscuits, salt & pepper, lots of USB charging points, including two that don’t require any leads. Really clean & comfortable beds. The owner Steve was also very informative and made us feel very welcome. Also had a wash room, which had washing powder, and free !

Super friendly and helpful staff, the owner shared tons of valuable information and saved us a few hours due to misleading google maps :) Quiet rooms, everything is clean and tidy and looks fresh.

The Motel is set among beautiful gardens and private car parking is available directly outside each room. Beautiful location right on the river but only a short walk to anywhere you wanted to go in the small town. I stayed 3 nights. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We didn’t use the breakfast facility but on observation were very impressed with the selection on offer, and the presentation. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and efficient in all areas of work. The location was beautiful, facing the water. It was a 10 minute walk to town so very convenient. It was quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay there again.

The motel is 1 km from the historic Queenstown town centre and a short distance from the Historic Stream Railway. The Queenstown Galley Museum is a 10-minute walk and Strahan is a 35-minute drive away. We had a lovely 3-night stay at the Gold Rush Motor Inn. The room was sparkling clean, nicely decorated and exceptionally well-equipped with a kitchenette that included a good-sized fridge, sink, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery and dishes. It was very spacious with lots of room to spread out, and the bed with its lovely linens was oh so comfortable. The accommodation is slightly away from the main business district of the town, but Queenstown is a pretty small place, so this didn't matter in the least. The location is excellent for driving to Montezuma Falls (about an hour), Strahan and Hogarth Falls (45 minutes), Iron Blow and the Horsetail Falls. Upon leaving Queenstown, it is a pleasant (1.5 hour) drive to Cradle Mountain.
