The suit we stayed was modern and specious. Well equipped, even with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was better than expected great selection and perfectly cooked eggs! Just at the edge of the old town center. Helpful staff. All in all a very good experience. Perfect place to explore the Wachau region.

Located in Mautern on the southern bank of the Danube, only 2 km from Krems, the Nikolaihof offers very spacious, classically equipped rooms with panoramic views over the Wachau Valley. A tranquil, beautifully maintained garden with a refreshing natural pool. A friendly and very helpful owner, who was able to recommend some cycling options as well as several places to eat. All the staff were very nice. Very clean and spacious accommodation - we got an upgrade and had a small chalet just for the two of us. Very good breakfast - fresh, tasty and very good choice. We hope to visit again.

Amazing hotel, so far the best accomodation on our cycling trip. It's very relaxing, clean, misterious and cosy. The breakfast was delicious. Really didn't want to leave.
