Featuring free WiFi, a seasonal outdoor pool and a barbecue, The Apsara Lodge offers accommodation in Yangshuo. Guests can enjoy free daily afternoon tea and daily guided riverside bike tour. The location and ambience of the lodge is perfect for a weekend getaway. The views are unparalleled and surreal. The lodge staff welcomed us with warmth, friendliness and hospitality. They are professional and we'll informed (and connected) with the local attractions. With their support we were able to attend shows and explore the surroundings. The lodge facilitates excursions such as the traditional light show, renting of scooters, massages, arranging transport and more. The surrounding areas are accessible by scooter and the driving conditions here are safe enough. The lodge is air-conditioned and mostly free of mosquitoes.
Hotel in Yulong River Scenic Area, Yangshuo
Surrounded amidst impressive Karst mountains, Yangshuo Mountain Retreat is located at the edge of Yulong River. Free WiFi access is available. Free parking space is offered. The location and the outside appearance of Yangshuo Mountain Retreat almost impossibly beautiful. It is situated a stone’s throw from the Yulong River in a valley that is one of the most magical places I have ever visited. Near-vertical towering karst terrain spires line the valley on either side and tower directly behind the resort itself. The resort provides free bicycles which are better maintained that those that I have found for free in other hotels and there are free helmets and bicycle locks provided. The bike ride up the valley for a mile or so along a wide brick paved path that runs along the banks of the river offers a parade of vertical peaks on either side of the river(there are more extensive bike routes listed online but these involved sharing the road with busy auto and motor scooter traffic and I,for one, did not think the risk of an orthopedic, or head, injury was worth it). The Yulong river valley is lined with small farms and has so many gorgeous plants(from banana trees to rice ready for harvest and local wild flowers), that I chose to walk it several times to appreciate the fine detail one misses when biking. The exterior of the resort itself is very charming with exuberant blooming bougainvillea lining the path and framing the verandas of each room. The interiors and plumbing are somewhat old fashioned but comfortable and clean and the rooms have a small veranda with chairs and a small table looking out onto a stunning bougainvillea-framed view of the river and mountains. The staff were friendly and went out off their way to be helpful. They welcomed us on our first day with a complimentary pot of ginger tea and a little plate of cookies. The ginger tea was so good we went back three times during our stay for a pot of the same tea. The restaurant was cozy and the chinese dishes were good(we did not try their western menu).

Hotel in Yangshuo
Wedged amongst the bamboo forests and rural farmlands, Riverside Retreat Hotel overlooks the beautiful water of the Li River. Everything was perfect, the hotel is quiet(sleeps well), and is a good distance from the center of Yangshuo, not so far not so close, ten minutes by car from ferry station. The staff is very helpful with good advices for POI and local usuals. Différents services: rental e-bike (electric scoot), bicycle. Laundry service is very effective. The cooker has talent: local food and chinese breakfast is awesome. The sunset and the view from the bedroom is wonderful, you can see karstics mointains: incredible, amazing. You’ll never find a better place for all of these reasons.
Hotel in Xiangshan, Guilin
Right opposite Two Rivers and Four Lakes, Guilin Rong Lake Aroma Tea House, formerly Jing Guan Ming Lou Museum Hotel, is located in the city centre. The hotel has a beautiful interior design, as befits a museum. It so happened that we stayed in three different rooms in the hotel during our stay. All rooms were clean, functional, and very nice. Sympathetic, polite and helpful staff who spoke English. We had no problem leaving our luggage for our one-day trip to Yangchuo. The location of the hotel is right next to the lakes and the park surrounding them. I highly recommend this hotel
Hotel in Xiufeng, Guilin
Set in Guilin, 1.3 km from Reed Flute Cave, Guilin Village Creek Inn offers accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. The hotel managers recently opened this very nice hotel, and in spite of our late arrival, everybody was extremely helpful, and ready to serve us whatever food they had. Michelle and the rest of the staff made the best of our short visit to Guilin. They helped us organize all of our trips in the region, during a very complicated time (around the Chinese New Year). The hotel is about 15 to 20 minutes away from Guiling Bei (north) Railway station, but it's easy to take a cheap taxi to get there. The room was very comfortable and has a lovely view of the karst mountains of Guilin. From Guilin you can visit Yangshuo and Xingping either by bus or train (the train is much faster and very cheap). I really recommend this hotel to travelers who want to spend some quiet quality time in a delightful little town, surrounded by very nice people.
Hotel in Ten Mile Gallery, Yangshuo
Located in Yangshuo, 4.6 km from Darongshu Scenic Area, Lanshan Moon Resort provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden. The main attractions of Lanshan Wangyue Hotel are the outstanding location in a village not too far from the town of Yangshuo, but with a feeling of old rural China and magnificent unobstructed view of the karst peaks in all directions; and the friendly service by the owners, Mark Ma, Li Wu and Siwei, and their hard-working and helpful staff. Additionally, the rooms are commodious and offer full views-- distant mountains from the front, the village and close mountains on the back side. The beds are new and great for sleeping, plus the rooms have good insulation and are very quiet. The proprietors find out what the guests wish to do, and custom arrange and lead excursions into the surrounding countryside. In an area that has lots of tourists (almost all domestic Chinese), they can take guests on bike trips or hikes to places that no one else visits. Ask them to take you on the half hour climb up to the old Qing Dynasty bandits lair in a cave high above the surrounding countryside, or to one of the ancient villages in the area. So much to see and do in the area, with some of the finest scenery in China.

It's a great city to relax before heading off to the other travel destinations in Guangxi. Has the features and services a traveler needs, like tours, banks, etc. Lakeside strolls are a must.
Nanning is a big city and ideal for shopping other than visiting its Guangxi Museum and big Nanhu Lake. It is a good stopover for a night stay especially for us visitng Detian Waterfall. The check in service at Nanning Wu Xu international aiport was efficient.
Nanning is a fairly nondescript smallish city (by Chinese standards, it is still around 7 million people) and doesn't really have a massive amount to offer tourists. Guangxi province itself is unbelievably beautiful from what we saw on the bus ride in from the Vietnam border and has several areas of note so Nanning could be a good spot to fly/driveinto to get to other areas such as Guilin, Yangshuo etc. It seems to have an okay metro system that is having improvements done not that we used it.
Small for China maybe, but this is a big city. Parks are beautiful and it feels safe. Great night time food street. Not sure there is much reason to stay for more than a few nights. Metro is modern safe and easy to use. Only 2 lines at present but most points of interest are on metro. At time of writing Guangxi stadium is not remotely near a metro. Stadium is impressive. Not many western style bars but there is bar area near Folk Song Lake.
Large bustling city , like most Chinese cities there is little of interest architecturally but the street life + night markets make it fun to visit. There's a small open air museum near the centre with free entrance , the main attraction there being a traditional covered bridge (not sure if it's a replica or real) currently used as a restaurant. On the outskirts of the city is the much larger Guangxi Minorities Museum served by a small and hard to find bus service (other buses go to the area but all involve varying degrees of walking). So take a 20- minute taxi ride, the museum entry fee isn't excessive and there's a lots to see although not really much info in English. We also looked at the famous park near the museum but what we saw of it didn't excite us particularly. The night markets are well worth a visit- one for food , the other for shopping and both within walking distance of the city centre.
It was an incredible experience visiting the beautiful Guangxi scenery, new hotel in the perfect location, special mention to the hospitality from the owner and all the staffs, they serve with heart and very helpful, our family like all the food they serve. Will stay here again for my next visit.
location is the best in town, amazing view with the lake, unforgetable breakfast, large room
Beautiful building and sorroundings, excellent food, overall had a great stay. Highly recommended to international visitors and first timers as the staff will take care of everything for you. A special thanks to the girl at the reception who spoke excellent English and really went out of her way to help me.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They all speak English. They are well prepared, pro active and go the extra mile to fulfill all questions and extras. Their price policy is transparant and correct. The hotel and rooms are wonderful, clean and comfortable.
I liked the tranquility of the resort and even when crowded, you can still find peaceful spots on the property. I liked how most of the staff went our their way to make our stay comfortable and try to fulfill all our wishes. My son enjoyed the ponds and breakfast with peacocks! It was truly a blissful sight. I'd like to thank Ian for bringing our in room dining--super charming guy! I'd like to thank the chef (maybe Martin is his name) he always was helpful and most of all Rhianna for the nice hospitality! !
We enjoyed a delightful four night stay at Giggling Tree! Our hosts Alice, Laura and Helen and all the staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Not only was the location picture perfect and gorgeous, the personalised service provided by the team made our stay special, and meant that we could enjoy the sights and experiences of the area easily.
the Hotel employees or the best very easy to work with very friendly spoken. Very good English always there to help always with a smile really really helpful. The location being outside of the main city is really awesome if you are looking for a quiet nice night The mopeds that they rent there are the best things ever makes life and getting around so much easier Fridge is $30 a night. You are getting way more than your moneys worth as I mentioned the people there are awesome
Great hotel! Perfect location between two villages, close to the parking lot, comfortable rooms, friendly family - owners of the hotel. They do best they can to make our trip unforgettable. Local food, care and outstanding support is the value added to the room reservation in this hotel. In details: (1) Hotel location is more convenient, then most others, because just ~300 meters from the parking lot /bus stop; (2) easy to find Hotel, because it is exactly on the main road (3) there is awesome view from rooms with balcony (as we had🥳) (4) there is convenient path to main attraction in this area - Nine dragons and five tigers point view - MUST see (5) during the stay we been surrounded by Jason and his wonderful family - it’s really untypical personal touch. And i would like to highlight super delicious dishes from Jason’s mother in law😍 PS: several words about travelling there in december, as we did - weather is convenient for hiking, because no mud, no rain, and soft sunny. Another “gift” it is very very few tourists. Rare terraces with water, except which i mentioned above “must see” - we been surprised. And Christmas eve lightning show was amazing😍
Staff, location, interior design...
My boyfriend and I stayed in the King Room with Mountain View and it was spectacular! We had a whole terrace to ourselves where we could sit, talk, drink some beers and enjoy the view! Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end of our stay! The staff was very friendly and even helped me to buy some medicine. The owner also invited me to join them for barbecue! The bed and pillows are amazingly comfortable, and the view, breathtaking! Very close to the Reed Flute Scenic area (around 500m to 800m), which has the amazing Reed Flute Cave! For delivery, not many options but you can reach the center within 15 to 20 min drive. The hotel offers some choices of food though. We had wontons and they were really delicious. I have zero complaints. Will definitely stay at Peach Blossom again if I go back to Guilin.
The hotell and especially the staff were fantastic!
