It is on the West bank of the Nile, very close to the main attractions, but East bank is also accessible easily by the ferry. Our room was very comfortable, staff very friendly and we had amazing food both for breakfast and dinner. I would recommend.

Staff are very helpful and friendly and even though committed 24/7, they all provide a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Free transfer by boat between the hotel and downtown Luxor is available around the clock upon call. The little restaurant offers a variety of tasty homemade food — a great breakfast, snacks for lunch and a diverse selection of dishes for dinner. All meals combine elements of the Egyptian and Western cuisine. Drinks (water, soft drinks, beer and a small selection of Egyptian wines) are also available, a specialty is the Turkish style coffee. The hotel offers a small pool perfectly suitable for a quick refreshment. Upon request, bicycles are available for rent, and the famous sights of the area (valley of the kings, valley of the queens, Hatshepsut temple - each approximately 8 km away one way) can be explored easily by bicycle! I lived for four years in Egypt, but this hotel was by far the nicest I ever had!

Located at the gateway to Luxor, Al Moudira Hotel is the only palace situated on the west bank of the Nile. The domes and the patios ornate with arabesque makes up the oriental décor. Surprisingly a lot of locals don’t know about this place! It is truly the definition of a hidden gem because there is nothing impressive about the road there or the entryway from the road, but when you step in, you might as well have been transported to a different place! This is the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! Every detail in the design is intentional and stunning! It is an oasis in a desert with palm trees, green plants and colorful flowers everywhere! As well as water fountains along the walk ways. The receptionist greeted me with a cold towel which I appreciated because it was so hot and offered me a glass of hibiscus juice! This was so refreshing because I had been on the road for hours! Every room here is different and ours was nothing short of a page taken out of the most romantic novel. The beds were so comfortable and the natural toiletries felt good on my skin and smelled so good! I will be back for my honeymoon in 2024! Don’t hesitate to book this magical hotel!
